Stylishly furnished, contemporary London mews house, close to everything...

Set around a courtyard in a private development within a small converted Victorian school building in trendy Clapham, is this fantastic, very spacious, loft style 2 double bedroom, 2 bathroom contemporary mews house with excellent wifi.

The downstairs is an open planned living/kitchen area with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine in the open planned kitchen. A large living and dining space with amble seating for both dinning and relaxing which then opens onto a private garden area. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room plus balcony and the main bathroom with bath and shower. Beautifully and stylishly furnished & decorated with wooden floors downstairs and carpet upstairs, it is ideal for anything from a few nights to longer term. Smart TV and cable make nights in a dream and the kitchen is able to deliver anything from a snack to a three course meal with the array of supermarkets and speciality shops on hand to help to deliver. Towels and bed linen are provided with a weekly maid service if required.

Clapham is one of London's villages encapsulating everything you need, from supermarkets, cinema, gym, bars and restaurants on the door step of the house plus the wide open spaces of the common. Only three minutes or so walk to the Northern line at Clapham North and then less then ten minutes to the West End or City.

Perfectly placed, you will find it very difficult to find a property set so close to everything from transport links to shops, cinemas, a gym, a large park, children's play grounds and paddling pools on the common, covering pretty much all your local requirements. In a beautiful and unique setting, very private and secure, you'll never want for anywhere else to stay in London.

About Marc Field

Lived all over the world but have always had a home in London since Uni and now I'm settled in Australia I've more time to come back to the UK regularly. Preferring to stay in my own place then a hotel I've changed from long terms tenants to holiday lets.

The house is fully furnished with I everything I may need when I staying in London on either business or pleasure. Love to cook, love a quite night in but I'm a keen gym goer and need somewhere with places I can run, swim and work out close by. Anything you need to know please let me know.

Why Marc Field chose England

As you'll see when you stay there, it's fantastically located, to be honest if you look at maps of places available to transport hubs I'm one of the best located there is. Two minutes to the Northern line which is then 10-15 minutes either to the City or the West End. Easy for Twickenham or the Oval and easier for the trendy nightlife of Clapham and south London.

What makes this house unique

Well located but off the street in a small private courtyard development. The house and courtyard setting has a very European feel to it, very safe, very secure and very private. I've started to move some of my aboriginal paintings to the house to remind me of Australia whilst I'm here and I love the warmth they give the place as well as complimenting some of the 17/18th century architectural prints I also collect. I think the house has a great feel to it, it feels like a home...

Perfect for us!

This was our first time renting someone's house rather than staying in hotels and we loved it. When my company sent me to London for a week on business and we decided to make a family trip out of it as well we thought a home stay would be a good idea having two small children This house turned out to be fantastic for us.

Firstly the house itself is really secure, set in a private space off the road and very very quiet. Supermarkets are literally a minute away so we found getting some supplies in for our two young children really easy and as anyone knows when you travel with young children easy is a luxury!

The house was very clean and really well set up, plenty of room for us all and the two bathrooms were fantastic especially having a bath in one of them for the kids. Everything seems to have been thought of from comfy sofa's and cable TV (a god send for jet lagged kids) to all the kitchen items we needed to sort out meals etc.

Really easy to get around London from here both for myself getting to the office in Canary Wharf and for the family to get some sight seeing and exploring in.

This is a really great house and the location is fantastic and would recommend it to anyone travelling with young children.

One in a million

We looked at about that many properties before finding this treasure. Marc, the host, and Karen, the Lady who welcomed us, did a marvelous job. From the very first minute we felt completely at home.

The vicinity to the tube and the short distance to the City Center allowed us to not bother with our car; it was safely parked out on the street.

The interior is just lovely and the beds super comfortable. We didnt miss anything at all; whatever we needed was there.

You notice immediately that a lot of thought and love has gone into that property.

Thank you, Marc, for having us and we hope to come back to your wonderful appartement on another trip to London.

Great location, very comfortable, charming house with modern bathrooms, lovely patio

The owner and property manager were helpful and responsive to any questions. We enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable London house, and the private patio was super after days out in the heat. The location is very convenient to public transportation, and the neighborhood lovely for walking. Will definitely recommend this property to friends. Thanks to Karen for all her help!

Secure environment. Excellent support staff.

The furnishings and the plumbing need a bit of attention. It is a very well designed two bedroom maisonettes in an excellent secure position for central London. Karen ,our minder ,was excellent and very helpful. We will almost certainly take it again next year when we come for the cricket at the Oval.

an excellent quiet flat in an exciting area

The flat was spacious, clean, and inviting. Easy access to underground even for out-of-towners. Quiet, but with hip, urban local feel. We mixed up time of arrival; Mark and hosts were really good about working things out for us.

A little gem.

Just spent three nights here, visiting London and doing all the "touristy" things, hard work, but enjoyable. When we returned home I read a negative review of the property, they must have gone next door, take it from me this place is perfect, even with squeaky floorboards. It's so safe, situated in a locked courtyard, so quiet, we slept with the french windows open and heard nothing. So convenient, tube five minutes away and supermarkets close by. Anyone who enjoys draught beer will find the best pub in Clapham two minutes away. Turn right outside main entrance, first left and a hundred yards is The Craft Beer Co. Don't miss this, serves 28 draught beers and largers.

Car: not necessary

Literally 2 minutes walk to Clapham North tube line direct to the west end and city, railiway with links to Twickenham & the Oval. Everything on the door step from supermarkets and a great high street, bars, restaurants, Clapham Common, gym and swimming pool.

Cancellation policy is up to 180 days prior to arrival I'll give a 100% refund and 120 days I'll refund 50%.
