Stylishly furnished, contemporary London mews house, close to everything...

London is a very big city so this house, less than a minute off the everything-you-could-want Clapham High Street and two minutes to the underground station, is about as well connected to everything in London as you can get.

The house itself is set around a courtyard in a private development within a small converted Victorian school building and is very spacious, a bit loft style, with 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A very chic contemporary mews house with excellent wifi and a very comfy feel.

The downstairs is an open planned recently ronvated living/kitchen area with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and wash/dryer in the open planned kitchen. A large living and dining space with amble seating for both dinning and relaxing which then opens onto a private garden area. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room plus balcony and the main bathroom with bath and shower. This home is beautifully and stylishly furnished & decorated with wooden floors downstairs and carpet upstairs, it is ideal for anything from a few nights to longer term. Smart TV and cable make nights in a dream and the kitchen is able to deliver anything from a snack to a three course meal with the array of supermarkets and speciality shops on hand. Towels and bed linen are provided with a weekly maid service if required.

Clapham is one of London's villages encapsulating everything you need, from supermarkets, cinema, gym, bars and restaurants on the door step of the house plus the wide open spaces of the common. Only two minutes or so walk to the Northern line at Clapham North and then less then ten minutes to the West End or City. Buckingham Palace is few tube stops as is Harrods, Leicester Square and Covent Garden are straight up the Northern line, it's just too easy!

Perfectly placed, you will find it very difficult to find a property set so close to everything from transport links to shops, cinemas, a gym, a large park, children's play grounds and paddling pools on the common, covering pretty much all your local requirements. In a beautiful and unique setting, very private and secure, you'll never want for anywhere else to stay in London.

About Marc Field

Lived all over the world but have always had a home in London since Uni and now I'm settled in Australia I've more time to come back to the UK regularly. Preferring to stay in my own place then a hotel I've changed from long terms tenants to holiday lets.

The house is fully furnished with I everything I may need when I staying in London on either business or pleasure. Love to cook, love a quiet night in but I'm a keen gym goer and need somewhere with places I can run, swim and work out close by. Anything you need to know please let me know.

Why Marc Field chose London

As you'll see when you stay there, it's fantastically located, to be honest if you look at maps of places available to transport hubs I'm one of the best located there is. Two minutes to the Northern line which is then 10-15 minutes either to the City or the West End. Easy for Twickenham or the Oval and easier for the trendy nightlife of Clapham and south London.

What makes this house unique

Well located but off the street in a small private courtyard development. The house and courtyard setting has a very European feel to it, very safe, very secure and very private. I've started to move some of my aboriginal paintings to the house to remind me of Australia whilst I'm here and I love the warmth they give the place as well as complimenting some of the 17/18th century architectural prints I also collect. I think the house has a great feel to it, it feels like a home...

London Mews-A Great Place to stay in London

I think rentals start with the owner! Marc is an excellent person to work with. You unlock the door on the street to enter a quiet courtyard with just a few condos inside. The downstairs of this condo is spacious and bright with a patio door leading to a small patio. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a family bath and master bath with shower. The master has doors leading to a small deck. It was perfect for us and the couple we were traveling with. The location is within a 5 minute walk to the tube and bus stops. There is a small grocery store on the way from the tube stop. We bought an Oyster Card before our trip and it was great for traveling all over London and this condo's location was a plus. I would highly recommend this condo for a small family, friends traveling together or a couple.

Superb apartment for a family of 3 adults

This well-appointed and comfortable apartment was spot on for a family of 3 adults. Downstairs was a generous open plan living/dining/kitchen area and upstairs 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with good cupboard and drawer space and places to hide the luggage. The washing machine and a drying cupboard were great. Location was excellent with a short walk to the Underground, a few paces to the main road with many bus services and a good selection of shops. The best apartment we stayed in on our 2 month european tour.

Very comfortable accommodation close to public transport

This flat has quality appliances and was very comfortable. Even though in busy Clapham North as it is a Mews Flat once through the door into the courtyard it is very quiet. Managing agent Indre was there to meet us and very easy to make contact with during our stay for any queries.

Perfect!

Our family (mum dad and 2 teen boys) have just spent 9 nights at Marc's house. All perfect! Prompt communications from Marc from the start. Indre met us at the property and checkin was simple. House has lovely living space with new kitchen and appliances. Comfortable furniture and enough lounge furniture for all of us. Bedrooms aren't huge but plenty of storage to unpack. Both beds are doubles (4' 6") and very comfortable and I'm a light sleeper. The house was really warm, in fact so warm we turned the heating off upstairs. The boiler is in a cupboard at the top of the stairs which heats that area well and ideal for drying a full load of washing. The house is in an ideal location, just off Clapham High Street wirh lots of cafes etc and plenty of supermarkets but still pretty quiet. Only about 2mins walk to the overground station and less than 5mins to the underground station. If we have the opportunity to stay in that part of London again we would definitely try to stay at Marc's.

I will stay here again!

I spent a week in this delightful home, it was everything I was promised plus more. The location is perfect , quiet , comfortable and stylish. It was so easy to walk into different parts of Clapham, Wandsworth and the surrounding suburbs. Jumping on the train was simple and in 20 minutes you could be in central London, or many other places of interest. One day I went into Borough markets to do my shopping there and back in an hour it was terrific.

Spoilt for choice with many restaurants, cafes , and cute side streets with lovely gourmet food shops. Saturday morning food market was really good as well.

The house is very well equipped, everything worked and the beds were really comfortable.

Thanks to Marc my stay was perfect and I will definitely come back !

Literally 2 minutes walk to Clapham North tube line direct to the west end and city, railiway with links to Twickenham & the Oval. Everything on the door step from supermarkets and a great high street, bars, restaurants, Clapham Common, gym and swimming pool.

Getting access to the property. Official check in is 3 pm and check out is 11 am.

Obviously we try and be as flexible as possible, if you you are looking for outside of these times please flag on booking or as soon as you have times. There may be a small charge for very late or very early access.

If you are delayed in anyway getting to the property please let us know as soon as you can so we can amend meeting you. If we have to wait for a longer then an hour we may impose a small fee.

Cancellation policy is up to 180 days prior to arrival I'll give a 100% refund and 120 days I'll refund 50%.

  • 100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
