Stylishly furnished, contemporary London mews house, close to everything...

London is a very big city so this house, less than a minute off the everything-you-could-want Clapham High Street and two minutes to the underground station, is about as well connected to everything in London as you can get.

The house itself is set around a courtyard in a private development within a small converted Victorian school building and is very spacious, a bit loft style, with 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A very chic contemporary mews house with excellent wifi and a very comfy feel.

The downstairs is an open planned living/kitchen area with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine in the open planned kitchen. A large living and dining space with amble seating for both dinning and relaxing which then opens onto a private garden area. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room plus balcony and the main bathroom with bath and shower. This home is beautifully and stylishly furnished & decorated with wooden floors downstairs and carpet upstairs, it is ideal for anything from a few nights to longer term. Smart TV and cable make nights in a dream and the kitchen is able to deliver anything from a snack to a three course meal with the array of supermarkets and speciality shops on hand. Towels and bed linen are provided with a weekly maid service if required.

Clapham is one of London's villages encapsulating everything you need, from supermarkets, cinema, gym, bars and restaurants on the door step of the house plus the wide open spaces of the common. Only two minutes or so walk to the Northern line at Clapham North and then less then ten minutes to the West End or City. Buckingham Palace is few tube stops as is Harrods, Leicester Square and Covent Garden are straight up the Northern line, it's just too easy!

Perfectly placed, you will find it very difficult to find a property set so close to everything from transport links to shops, cinemas, a gym, a large park, children's play grounds and paddling pools on the common, covering pretty much all your local requirements. In a beautiful and unique setting, very private and secure, you'll never want for anywhere else to stay in London.

About Marc Field

Lived all over the world but have always had a home in London since Uni and now I'm settled in Australia I've more time to come back to the UK regularly. Preferring to stay in my own place then a hotel I've changed from long terms tenants to holiday lets.

The house is fully furnished with I everything I may need when I staying in London on either business or pleasure. Love to cook, love a quiet night in but I'm a keen gym goer and need somewhere with places I can run, swim and work out close by. Anything you need to know please let me know.

Why Marc Field chose England

As you'll see when you stay there, it's fantastically located, to be honest if you look at maps of places available to transport hubs I'm one of the best located there is. Two minutes to the Northern line which is then 10-15 minutes either to the City or the West End. Easy for Twickenham or the Oval and easier for the trendy nightlife of Clapham and south London.

What makes this house unique

Well located but off the street in a small private courtyard development. The house and courtyard setting has a very European feel to it, very safe, very secure and very private. I've started to move some of my aboriginal paintings to the house to remind me of Australia whilst I'm here and I love the warmth they give the place as well as complimenting some of the 17/18th century architectural prints I also collect. I think the house has a great feel to it, it feels like a home...

Perfecr stay

It was our first stay at the property and what an incredible stay we had.

Marc, the host and Karen, the Lady who welcomed us was brilliant and we felt completely at home.

The property was perfectly located and very private. The house was excellently located to public transport with tube, overground and bus services within a couple minutes walk. If you didn't want to travel on public transport we were able to book an Uber which arrived within two minutes!!

The property its self was comfortable and spacious and was equipped brilliantly with everything we needed and more. Both bedrooms even had TVs with Netflix set up.

We will definitely be coming back to stay again and would recommend the property to anyway.

We had an amazing stay.

Perfect location

Great 2 bedroom apartment close to the Tube and Clapham High Street.

The apartment has every thing you need and although close to high street is tucked away and has a peaceful and homely atmosphere. For those needing two bedrooms for a stay in London this is an ideal place to base yourself.

Lovely , well-situated home

This light-filled two-bedroom mews home is well-situated in a vibrant London neighborhood convenient to transit, shopping, and restaurants. If you enjoy exploring off the beaten path, staying among Londoners rather than tourist haunts, then this home is for you. A well-equipped kitchen (provendered from local stores) leads to fun meals at the dining table. Catch the BBC weather forecast while relaxing in the lounge. Then sleep in one of two comfortable bedrooms before the next day of touring or travel. The owner is welcoming, communicative, and concerned that all guests have an enjoyable stay.

great, with a slight exception of trying to figure out how to get the keys (though resolved fine)

We thought this flat was pretty great - it's in a little private courtyard that is nice & quiet that you need a key to get in to. The flat itself is quite nice, with a well laid out kitchen with everything we needed to cook simple meals (and there's a Sainsbury's Local grocery store less than a block away to get whatever food you need). Bathrooms/bedrooms are nice - though the bed in one of the bedrooms is extremely squeaky & makes noise every time you move, which might be problematic if you're a light sleeper. Plenty of space in the flat for all 4 of us to not feel crowded. It's also super close to an underground station that was a very short ride to central London & all the things we wanted to go see.

We did have some trouble getting in contact with Karen, the person who manages the property for the owner, about how to get the keys to get in, which resulted in a few days of worry/stress, but Marc (the owner) was very responsive in getting her to respond (it turns out there had been a missed CC on an e-mail that contained needed information about how to get in that we never got). I wish Karen had been a little more communicative/responsive, but Marc was great in remedying the situation, and even left a bottle of champagne for us upon arrival to make up for it, which we thought was a very nice touch. We also had no issues once we got there getting in, so it was all fine in the end.

This place is fantastic. We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of February as we were in town for a friend’s birthday celebration. The first thing that I would like to make a comment / review on was the location; the property has fantastic access to all forms of transportation, for us most important was tube accessibility which is only a 5 min walk to the platform, and then easy access to all areas of central London. The property is also located near numerous supermarkets and restaurants (the restaurant on the corner called MOMMI is definitely worth a go).

You enter from the street into an inviting quiet and secure courtyard which seems miles away from the bustle of the High Street. We arrived to a warm house (much appreciated on a cold winter’s day) to find a bottle of champagne, which was a lovely welcoming touch after a long flight. The 2 generous size bedrooms with bathrooms to match were lovely and could easily host 2 couples, along with the downstairs lounge and kitchen which is great for hanging out, watching TV and /or cooking your meals. The host of the property Marc was also a delight to deal with and we will definitely be making contact for our next visit to London. We can’t recommend this place highly enough, thanks for a lovely experience.

Getting access to the property. Official check in is 3 pm and check out is 11 am.

Obviously we try and be as flexible as possible, if you you are looking for outside of these times please flag on booking or as soon as you have times. There may be a small charge for very late or very early access.

If you are delayed in anyway getting to the property please let us know as soon as you can so we can amend meeting you. If we have to wait for a longer then an hour we may impose a small fee.

Cancellation policy is up to 180 days prior to arrival I'll give a 100% refund and 120 days I'll refund 50%.
