My wife and I and our friend shared the Daedalus apartment. One bathroom was en suite with our bedroom, and the 2nd bathroom was essentially the same, as it is down a hall adjacent to the second bedroom. This room arrangement afforded a lot more privacy than we expected. The main room provided plenty of space for our rather long stay in Rome. The kitchen provided what we needed--the microwave was a nice addition, as was the Nespresso coffee maker. The Daedulus apartment faces a side street and there is a lot of natural light. The washer is small but works like a charm, and it was useful to have heated towel racks in the bathrooms for drying clothes ( few apartments in Rome have clothes dryers). As our stay was over a month, Giacomo provided weekly maid service, including a change of sheets and towels.
This location is amazing. It might seem remote but it is NOT! A less than 10 minute walk puts you in the center of the Piazza del Polpolo, and that puts you within a short walk to the Spanish Steps. In the other direction is the Vatican. The Lepanto metro stop is 10 minutes walk away. A major bus stop is a 5 minute walk. But best of all is the Prati district and this neighborhood. You get to feel like a Roman for a while. The main shopping street Cola de Rienzo, adjacent to the apartment building, is wonderful. Real Romans far out number tourists in this part of town. Grocery stores, a market, cafes and restaurants are everywhere. Last year we stayed very near the Piazza Barberini, thinking that location would be more central and convenient to see the sights of Rome. We found the Daedulus apartment to be much better located. The neighborhood is safe, busy without being crowded, upscale, and full of amenities.
Giacomo could not have been more helpful; the building has a concierge and it is a really lovely well maintained building.
The Daedulus was a great place to "call home" while we were in Rome, a great value, and we can't wait to return. Recommended!
The booking and contact with the owner prior our stay was easy and helpful!
We were greeted just as we arriwed and got information and keys.
The apartment was suitable for 4 adults (however two had to share a double bed and duvet), tidy and felt up to date. The location (next to a divine gelatio) was great, quiet area not far from center of town.
It would not hurt with one more cutting board, some coat hangers in the hall and a full body mirror.
Greetings from Sweden
This apartment was spacious with lovely street views, in a fantastic location close to shopping, restaurants and within walking distance of all Rome's main attractions. Giacomo was great to deal with, responded quickly on email and messages prior to and during our stay. He met us at check-in and showed us the apartment and went through everything we needed to know to ensure our stay was comfortable. We stayed here for 3 weeks while in Rome with our two sons and the apartment had absolutely everything we needed for it to feel like home. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Rome.
The owner was super - responsive to all communications, accommodating, and made the process very smooth.
* GREAT location
* Fully loaded with new appliances
Even if I wanted to, (which I don't) there is absolutely nothing negative I could say, or improvement I could offer.
When we go back, this is where we will stay. GREAT EXPERIENCE!
The apartmente is in perfect location. Perfect for 2 couple trip.
The host help us alot and was very nice!
Giacomo (Owner) was very easy to work with and it was great having a doorman there each day!
Apartment was very modern and clean.
Very nice upgrades to windows and fixtures.
The windows did a great job at blocking out light and sound!
The kitchen was an adequate size, maybe a little small if you plan to cook several meals during your stay, but my wife and I enjoyed the Roman cuisine and didn't have any problems with the kitchen size.
The apartment is in a great location and one that my wife and I would rent again next time we're in Rome.
