About Billy or Beth Wilkinson

Beth has taught school for 31 years and is now retired to spend time with the house and our guest. I work for a vitamin supplement manufacturer as operations director.

Billy or Beth Wilkinson purchased this farmhouse in 2007

Why Billy or Beth Wilkinson chose Tennessee

It has been a 25 dream to share our property with others. All those years ago when we started planting pine trees (near 10,000) on the place we began to have a vision of people coming to share this wonderful place. We dreamed of building cabins for people to come and enjoy the farm and the outdoors. We enjoy the fellowship and friendship. It is our desire to share some of ourselves and for you to share some of yourself with us.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed at the Little Red Farm last August (2009). I have thought about our vacation many many times since, but never added a comment. When researching for vacation this year, I was reminded of the "Farm" and what an incredibly fun time we had. I decided it was about time I let others know of a "jewel of the south". It was our first family vacation in decades. We all had a fabulous time cooking in the great country kitchen, walking the paths, cat-fishing, roasting marshmallows around the campfire pit(never laughed so hard in my life). We were in a peaceful quiet area but still close to all the excitement of Nashville. And Billy and Beth were absolutely marvelous hosts. So kind and considerate and helpful with things to do and places to see. We hope to go back to the "Farm" again.

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Stay Down on the Farm was truly a home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen cut down on our dining out costs. We enjoyed peaceful country solitude yet we were at the Grand Ole Opry in 30 minutes in Nashville. Each time we sat on the porch we were joined by hummingbirds that seemed as curious about us as we were about them. By far the best place we have ever stayed away from home.

Beautiful for a long weekend!

  • 5 of 5

The house was spectacular! Very clean, neat, and organized. The owner, Beth, met us there when we arrived and provided us with the keys and a notebook with directions to some local eateries and grocery stores. The location is only 30-40 minutes from the airport (depending on traffic) and it's a quick trip to downtown Nashville. We stayed in Candlelight Cabin which has 2 bedrooms and a bath on the main floor and an upstairs loft with 2 twin beds. We especially loved the porch with rocking chairs and a wonderful view of the property. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Beautiful, Peaceful, Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at "Stay down on the farm".  The Red Farm house was very clean, very nice, loved the decor and antiques through out the house and on the farm.  It definitely beats staying in a hotel for the price. The owners Billy and Beth couldn't have been more helpful and nice to make our stay feel like we were at home.  The farm itself is beautiful, very peaceful, enjoyed drinking our coffee on the front porch in the morning.  We also saw wild turkey's walking on the nature trails.  In the evening the sunsets were beautiful while walking down to the catfish pond with our dog (pet friendly) after a long day of sightseeing in Nashville (which is just about 30 mins away with easy access to 65).

Dont forget to stop by the Johnson's crossroads cafe for a good country breakfeast.  The food was great and customer service was awesome.

Thanks again Billy and Beth for the GREAT hospitality we will definitely stay here again.  Highly recommended.

Awsome Place!

  • 5 of 5

Very clean very nice house. Beth and Billy take pride in the house and the property. Both are very nice people and everything went very smooth when arriving and getting let into the house. Was like having hotel service. Only better we were out in the country in a house on awesome property. My family felt like we were at home staying there. Was about 25 min. from Nashville. We will definitely be back!

Owner's Response: The extra few minutes to get where you need to be around Nashville is worth it, so we are told all the time by guest. Some seem to be a little hesitant at first but once people are here the extra minutes seems to be long gone. We recognized that before we were married and just dating. Glad you enjoyed our effort. We built a home and not just a house. Thanks Billy and Beth

We had a great time in Nashville, and when we go back next year we will definitely stay at one of the properties they own. The farm house was so cute, and was just perfect.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this kind review. Hope to see you again. Check early and stay in one of the others homes. Each one is a little different but receive the same attention. We clean and prepare each home with the idea that you are the first person to stay here. Thanks again Beth and Billy

We have provided a quite, peaceful environment for you to be able to relax and enjoy between visits to Nashville and surrounding area. If you have anything else in mind such as bring other people in for partying, drinking, which is disturbing to the peace and tranquility of the farm then please consider another place. You won't like it here cause we don't stand for that since there are other homes on the farm.
