About Jordi Garcia i Serra

I am the father of two beautiful girls aged 2 and 4 years. Married to a doctor who does not stop exercising even at home, where there are 3 babies to attend (she says). My favourite sports are mountain biking, skiing and sailing. I studied economics and my redemption is to teach that matter to dozens of college students each year. As an employee, I worked for family and multinational companies, created an airline and a platform of services (Alumni). I like to launch projects whatever the schedule or the magnitude of the challenge. Now I'm involved in helping start-ups (entrepreneurship) that will create wealth and jobs (I hope so!). Have travelled around Europe and the landscape that I liked most was that of Norway. It's a shame that the country is so expensive! When I stayed in USA I loved Chicago as a city and the Death Valley as a landscape. I like to be clear and direct in my relationships. I love careful people, and I like to care about the places I stay.

This house used to be the home of my wife during 2 years. Then she met me and I joined her at this place for 3 years more. After that we decided to have children and we decided to take advantage of the real state downpricing and we moved 3 blocks away.

What makes this apartment unique

Payment times are: - you can pay the 100% at the time of booking or to make tow payments, 50% at the time of booking and the rest 50% (plus the security deposit) 14 days before arrival. The refund will be of 50% if you pay 14 days before booking. After that date there will not be any refund.

Wonderful Stay

This apartment was centrally located to the Metro. Loved the fact that we had a personal greet upon arriving, to whom provided us with knowledge of the area, maps and general guidance to make our stay stress free. The apartment is well equipped and suited our needs perfectly.

Good sleep, nice hot water for shower

Very convenient to Sants rail and metro stations and a nice walk to Montjuic.

Jordi was very quick to reply. Grocery stores right across the road.

No problem with neighbourhood.

Facilities as advertised so no complaints.

Great apartment in a great location

We stayed eight nights in Jordi's apartment. It is a very clean, quiet and modern apartment. Everything in the apartment worked. Malvina met us at the apartment and answered all our questions about public transportation and the sights that we wanted to see. She is very knowledgeable. The apartment is located near the the Sants train station, so it is easy to get to the apartment from the airport. Being near the train station allows easy access for any day trips that you may want to take. Metro and supermarkets are close by. We would stay here again.

Comfortable and affordable

Lovely, clean apartment with all new appliances and a great air conditioner. they allowed us to check in a bit early and left a cute gift basket. It is farther away from the main sites than we were led to believe. 8 euro cap or metro with transfers to any of the main sites. All in all a great bargain for the price

Owner's Response: Hi Kelli! Many thanks for your words! In fact the apartment is pretty new and everything is as commented in the advertising and the pictures. The apartment is also well communicated with two metro lines, and 6 Railway lines in Sants Station, which is at 6 minutes walking from the apartment. The Sagrada Familia is only 9 minutes away with Metro, and the City Center is only 12 minutes away by Metro. Staying away from the city center makes our apartment cheaper and more silence, specially in the nights. So it's the perfect option for families who want to stay in a quiet place, far away from the crowded and noisy center.

Quiet, clean apartment: a great base for a few days in Barcelona

We were warmly welcomed by Malvina who gave us lots of useful information about public transport and local attractions. We stayed in the apartment for 5 nights. There are good local supermarkets and the nearest Metro station (Sants) is only 5 minutes walk away. We really enjoyed our stay: the apartment was (just) spacious enough for 2 adults and a teenager, quiet, clean and well equipped. The smart TV was nice for collapsing in front of at the end of a busy day's sightseeing!

There are full of thinks you can do in Barcelona around the apartment. But let me show them as a local: FOR EAT: Basc Country restaurant: Zarautz. Open from 8:30 till 23:30. It’s very typical from the North of Spain and also one of our preferred restaurants in the zone. I use to go with friends to eat “tapas” and drink some “Txacoli”. Below you can find the directions from your apartment. Japanese Take away. SUSHI OISHI. Open 11h-16h and 19h-23h. One of the best in Barcelona! They do the sushi at the moment and the soup it’s delicious! When we have friends at home, or in Friday, when we are tired and don’t want to cook, we just call for a 76 XXL menu and that’s awesome!! You can call to +34 931 413 313 and after 20-30 minutes they will be at your apartment with everything. Restaurant Raco d’en Cesc. Probably the most celebrated restaurant in Barcelona where Football players, stars, ministers and the king of Spain are common guests. If you want to go, I recommend to make a reservation to avoid not having a table. They have reserved saloons to host families with children or babies. Below you can find the directions from your apartment. FOR SHOPPING: Shopping Mall Las Arenas. And old spectacular Bullring now converted in 12 Cinemas, 34 Restaurants, 90 Stores. With a great view of Barcelona and the Montjuic Fountains Show (each night at 21h): When we want to impress some friend we go with him to Las Arenas, and put him in the centre of the bullring and look up. That’s impressive! Below the directions in google maps. Shopping Street Carrer de Sants. This is the most vibrant street in Barcelona (after the Rambla) with a shop every meter. It's said this is the longest shopping street in Europe with more than 2.1 km... We use to go almost every week to buy anything. You will not buy everything! Find the direction form your apartment below. FOR CHILDREN: Miniatur Barcelona. It’s a place called Scopic where they have a miniature of Barcelona in a place with 5,000 square meters! Also they have a little train where children can get on. (The only problem is that the train is working now but the Barcelona miniature opens in July… sorry). Tibidabo. The amusement park where the children of Barcelona go every generation from 1902! It’s in the mountain, a bit far away from centre but also it has spectacular views from Barcelona. Here is one public transport combination to reach it. The trip will last one our to get there https. OUTSIDE BARCELONA: Montserrat. An especial mountain that legends says it was a virgin found in the cave with children in their arms. (I growth there!). Every year 3 million of tourists visits the church. It’s a visit of full day. This is the normal way to visit Montserrat. There are other famous places like The Ramblas, Gaudi Sagrada Familia Church and Catalonia Square, but guides are full of these places. I preferred to show you some different places, that local use and are also interesting. Feel free to comment anything if you visit these places, I’m always happy to change my recommendations. It’s very important for me to have your opinion.

FIESTAS: This is an apartment for families, not for parties. Fiestas are not allowed. In the building there are other guests that need to rest to go to work the next day. So the guests must respect this and go the pubs or bars especially indicated for parties.

PARKING is not free. It costs 12/€ day.

PETS: We like our guests feel at home, and to be treated as if they were to live there forever. Accept pets, however we expect them not to leave "footprint" of their passage.

SMOKE: Nor do we intend to impose on anyone who does not smoke, though we expect the environment are the following guests is "airy".

AFTER BOOKING: When you confirm your booking I will send you a guide about near neighborhood and tips for the apartment comfortability. Also, in order to give you a better and personalized service, I will ask you some information through a form, about arrival transportation, scheduled time and contact data in order to meet you and give you the keys. With this information we avoid major delays in giving you the keys.

  • 100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
