Mardi Gras Fun

  • 5 of 5

We had a terrific stay in New Orleans with very comfortable accommodations! Wonderful character to the space and well equipped. We always prefer to be away from the touristy hubub and this house fit the bill. Although it is on a busy street, parking was easy and the master bedroom is away from the street. Wish we could have stayed longer. Rented bikes to cruise around on down through Tulane and Audubon Park all the way down Magazine to the French Quarter and back, wonderful way to explore and see the area. We'll be back!

Charming, amazing, our home away from home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I brought our two kids to New Orleans for spring break (7 and 2 year olds). We are from Louisville Kentucky. We absolutely loved the house we stayed in on Carrollton. Perfect location to restaurants, local shops and even easy access to the streetcars. Our kids LOVED the beautiful backyard and my husband and I enjoyed listening to music and having a beverage on the front porch. We will be back and plan on staying at the same house!! Side note: house was fully equipped, full kitchen (we cooked in it), fully stocked admenties and was beautifully decorated...not to mention the owner was lovely and went over top on our accommodations. We really cannot wait to come back, our home away from home!!!

lovely home, friendly owner, plenty of space

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this home. I wish I had a car during this trip, as the streetcars are unreliable in this area and it is not close to downtown. I never tried the bus system. The home is spacious, decently stocked upon arrival and has all the amenities you need. Lovely backyard and there is a great park just a couple of blocks away, too. Costco opened up just down the road and we frequently walked down Carrollton to wonderful local eateries. The owner gave us a list of farmers markets and art fairs and all necessary resources to help get us acquainted with the area. It definitely felt like home while we were there for our two month stay. If we go back to New Orleans, I would love to stay in this home again.

Beautiful home in NOLA, centrally located

  • 5 of 5

The description of this beautiful home on the wbsite is very accurate. During my stay @ this home, I enjoyed the feeling of true Uptown New Orleans living with high ceilings, wooden floors and alot of charm. The maintenance and cleanliness is impeccable and spotless. The location is very close to downtown NOLA and there are at least, over 60 restaurants and bars within a 2 mile radius of the home. Some of the diverse restaurants near the home that I would recommend include creole cuisine at Jacquemo's, traditional breakfast at Oak Street Cafe, Chinese at Five Happiness, Italian at Venezia's and Angelo Brocato's for authintic Italian ice cream. I would recommend staying in this lovely home to anyone looking to enjoy NOLA for business or pleasure. It's a very spacious, warm and inviting and a beautiful place to stay in NOLA.

Wonderful vacation and wonderful accomodation

  • 5 of 5

The website did not do justice to this property. With the high ceilings and king bed as amenities we were thrilled with this experience for our vacation. We stayed for 8 weeks at this house and enjoyed every minute. We were escaping Canadian winters and couldn't see ourselves as heading to Arizona or Florida. The location was great as we enjoyed the vibrant entertainment scene as well as all Mardi Gras offered. Rock and Bowl was 3 blocks away and we walked the neighbourhood everday. The house was clean and well maintained and we appreciated the pet friendly aspect to this property. We would most certainly recommend this property to others and we are returning for a longer stay in 2011.
