Guestbook comments from the owner

We found this casita both charming and extremely comfortable. All the necessities of home were provided: laundry detergent, freshly ground coffee, a drip coffee machine and a French press, olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper, all possible kitchen utensils and paper products. There was a washing machine, dryer, two flat screen TVs, a comfortable couch and lounge chair. The bed was very comfortable. There was wi-fi access and a printer available. Rain was predicted; Rita provided an umbrella! The casita is located three blocks from the plaza making everything within walking distance. Rita provided a plethora of information and was always available for assistance. I would definitely return and would highly recommend this rental.

Home from home in Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the casita Tomas for the month of September and enjoyed every minute. The casita was very clean and cozy; It was like a home from home. It's in a nice, quiet location within easy reach of the Plaza, shops, restaurants art galleries and much more.

Rita and Tom were the perfect hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay an enjoyable one.

We would definitely give it 10 out of 10, and will certainly be back for more.

Cozy Santa Fe Casita

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I loved everything about the casita. We stayed for 4 weeks while we were in the process of buying a house in Santa Fe. It always felt like a refuge in the midst of the sometime chaos of getting a mortgage and all that goes into buying a house. We loved that we could walk down a few short blocks to the plaza and enjoy all it had to offer. The casita was beautifully decorated, pristine and totally practical with every need met in advance, including a parking space. The kitchen was perfectly set up for cooking and we ate 1 to 2 meals there a day. There was plenty of closet space to unpack and really feel at home. I loved sitting outside in the morning where the sun hit the outdoor furniture enjoying that fantastic Santa Fe air and light. Also loved walking down to the Cathedral every Sunday for mass and then breakfast at La Fonda. Would stay there again in the drop of a hat! Highly recommend it. Rita and Tom the owners were lovely people.

This house is beautiful and inviting, and is perfectly located a couple of blocks from downtown. We absolutely loved it, had a great experience with the owners and would love to come back! The house is even better than the pics online.

cozy, clean, close to town centre

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a wonderful 10-day stay at Casita Tomas. The small adobe house is well-stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, and electronics (WiFi, TV, etc.). Rita is welcoming and helpful with information about things to do in Santa Fe, and she keeps the place spic and span. The casita is ideally located--a 10-minute walk to the plaza and twenty minutes to the galleries on Canyon Road.

Lovely in many ways

  • 5 of 5

This Casita was perfect for our 4-day stop in Santa Fe. It was a very pleasant stroll to the plaza and was in a quiet location. It was clean, cozy and well-stocked with all those essentials that you might forget. It's an easy drive to the Santa Fe National Forest for some amazing, high-elevation hiking trails! Rita was wonderful and communicated well with us from reservation to our arrival arrival. We'd certainly stay here again if the opportunity arises!

Casita stay - great!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed in Rita's Casita and had just a great time. It is exceptionally maintained and well stocked. In walking distance to the Plaza with an abundance of site seeing, food, arts, and museums. A highlight was to tour and attend the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in the Plaza - a 400 hundred year old historic Catholic church. Rita personally greeted us upon our arrival, and was available with tips and information throughout our stay. Visiting Bandelier National Monument and Los Alamos were both fun and highly educational. I would give it my highest rating, and would recommend to anyone they check it out for a future stay.

Map

The casita is located near the Plaza and one block away from the Ski Basin Road. Nearby attractions include: Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Museum of Art, Palace of the Governors and Cross of the Martyrs. Within walking distance are numerous art galleries including those on Canyon Road, restaurants, the new convention center and shopping. Nearby, outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, biking, golf, tennis, horseback riding, river running and downhill and cross-country skiing. There are also several ancient Native-American ruins as well as present day pueblos available for visiting especially on feast days. During the summer one should not forget Indian Market, Spanish Market, Chamber Music Festival, the International Jazz and World Music Festival and of course the Santa Fe Opera.

Ski: The house is located within one block of Hyde Park Road, the road to the ski basin. About 25 minutes away, you will find wonderful and affordable skiing at Ski Santa Fe.
