About Torsten

I moved to London as a teenager, fell in love with it then and love it even more today. I live close to the Central London Den because of it's location right in the heart of the city.

Torsten purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Torsten chose Westminster

A dream home perfect for a special occasion - it is spacious, light and fresh with real character.

Oak flooring, linen armchairs, a carefully curated interior with hand made 'crittall' rustic steel and glass doors/wall sections combine to create a luxurious yet unfussy harmonious space. Touches of luxury include underfloor heating and soft lighting.

The location is incredible with London's major sites on your doorstep.

Great weekend in Torsten's Den

  • 5 of 5

A stylish well equipped apartment that accommodated 3 adults in comfort and had enough space (and glasses) for us to invite friends for pre dinner drinks. Having Tesco express nearby made making breakfast and snacks so easy. The location was perfect for walking to so many places and we felt safe to walk back at midnight. Torsten responded promptly and helpfully to our booking and subseqent questions. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for a week and loved the convenience of the location. The apartment is very clean and quite modern. It takes a little while for us from North America to get used to the modern UK facilities but once I leaned how to use the Stove, I loved it, the infloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom is lovely. We found the living room a little cold in January but there is an additional plug in heater that did the job when needed. Again, for North Amaericans, the “king” is actually a queen by our standards but very comfortable. There is a booster button in the utility room that can create additional hot water when needed. A great spot for exploring and a Tesco downstairs provides almost all you need for cooking in..

Perfect apartment for our family's stay in London

  • 5 of 5

The BEST! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Torsten's well-appointed Buckingham Palace Apartment. We had a rough start at a different apartment (different neighborhood) that I had booked for our family (it was double-booked and unavailable when we arrived after midnight) and needed to quickly make a change. HomeAway's booking guarantee came through in style and they selected Torsten's Buckingham Palace apartment as a great place for us....and indeed it was perfect. We were completely comfortable with ample space, lovely amenities, and incredible hospitality. We are a family of three and found the lay-out of this apartment to be just right for our family. Enough room for us to be together and also spacious enough that we never felt crowded and could find privacy. Our daughter slept comfortably in the living room (futon) with my husband and I in the bedroom. We stayed just under two weeks and quickly learned our way around town. There are no less than three coffee shops just a street away. The grocery store is literally "downstairs" from the apartment. There are restaurants all around the perimeter of the area and it is so close to Westminster Abbey and the Parliament. Close by is Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. We explored every part of the city from this great location. This is not a hotel zone. There are apartments in this area. We used the Underground easily from St James Park and Westminster which are both a short walk away. (Download the app "Citymapper" to find the easiest options from point A to point B). We used the bus every day (#24 and #88 will get you where you want to go and they run 24/7 ). We took a day-trip from Paddington Station and headed by train to Bath for the day. Lovely! The best taxi option from this location is Uber. They are there within 5 minutes easily. The neighborhood gets very quiet on the weekends, but come Monday morning there is a lovely hustle and bustle all around again. The apartment is quiet and accessed via elevator so you don't have to schlep your things up the stairs and the kitchen is fully accommodated so you can dine-in, if you wish. While our original choice of London apartment didn't work out, we were truly blessed to find this location instead. We felt safe here and we can see why HomeAway/VRBO selected this location for us. Torsten, thank you for everything! We had a wonderful time!

A real gem of a London apartment for your vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was for perfect for our family vacation. We loved the location, which was walking distance from Westminster and a Tube ride away from everything else. It's cozy, clean and modern. It was the perfect size for one couple and one or two children. Another lovely feature: the white, modern bathroom. Kitchen stocked with what you need to cook. And if you don't want to the apartment is walking distance from Starbucks and Pret a Manger! The best part is Torsten the owner. He is so so helpful before and during your stay. Responsive to any question or need. Book it today! So much of a better value than the extraordinarily expensive London hotels :)

Central London Gem

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely apartment. The location is ideal for visiting all of the sites London has to offer. Just a short walk to two underground stations. Neighborhood pubs and shops abound. What a convenience to have a grocery in the same building on the ground floor! The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable with a well laid out floor plan. Light and bright! Torsten was a responsive and helpful host.
