Great apartment in central location

We really enjoyed our stay in Kinsale. The apartment suited all of our needs. On arrival it was clean and tidy. We had more than enough room for all the family. Really handy to the centre of Kinsale and easy to walk from the pubs and restaurants therein. All amenities provided were great and the owners were very attentive in their emails before our arrival. I would definitely recommend to other visitors.

Spacious apartment in the heart of Kinsale

The apartment is amazing, it would be hard to find a better place in Kinsale. You will not be disappointed with this rental. It's very clean and well maintained. Inside appliances are up to date and you have all the comforts of home at your finger tips.

We had considerable trouble getting into the apartment because the previous renters did not leave the key or swipe card for us in the cafe. It took a bit of time to get things sorted and get into the apartment but once we were in it felt like home. Gerardine was very apologetic and gave us a 50 Euro voucher to a local restaurant; this was not necessary but a lovely touch.

My husband is from Limerick and I have family in Cork, so we were familiar with Kinsale. This apartment is in the perfect spot across from the marina - close to hotels, public park / playground for kids and an easy walk into the main square. We overheard another family saying they were staying in the center of the city and they were kept up all night by people leaving the pub. This apartment is within walking distance to everything, yet on a quiet side street which was important to us as we were traveling with our young children.

Overall, a great stay; a beautiful apartment and a charming city. We will certainly be back!

Lovely comfortable apartment in beautiful town.

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. Nice and bright with everything you could possibly need. Kids playpark nearby. Secure parking an added bonus in a town where parking seems to be an issue. Marina opposite the apartment block. The owners particularly helpful. Will definitely be recommending this place to others.

Brilliant apartment and location!

My wife and I have just returned from another wonderful Kinsale visit.

We visit at least once a year and have stayed in a good number of Kinsale's hotels, houses and apartments over the years. We both agree this property in Shearwater was one of the best in terms of cleanliness, location, comfort, owner friendliness and support.

Our mother-in-law stayed with us and we were joined for two days by a couple of her friends and they were also delighted with the property. So much so, they would also be more than happy, as we would, to recommend the property to their friends.

Kinsale offers great cuisine which probably goes without saying if you are planning to visit this most wonderful of Irish towns. This time we ate at Finns Table, The Steakhouse, Fishy Fishy, Flame, Blue Haven (bistro and fish café), Lemon Leaf Café and The White Lady. All meals were either excellent (Finns, Steakhouse, Flame) or very good (others mentioned). We were particularly impressed by Flame which we had not eaten at in the past and we highly recommend their great food which was accompanied by amazing staff friendliness and service.

So, if staying at Kinsale, and you need up to three bedrooms, this apartment is hard to beat. We will be booking it again and again.

Charming apartment and lovely town

I stayed with 2 friends for 2 weeks'; we enjoyed every minute of it and would be happy to stay there again. The apartment owners were very good at communicating before our holiday and we were given all the information we needed. The apartment is generous, comfortable, well equipped and wonderfully situated looking over the harbor. The House Book was thorough and explained everything one could possibly need as far as the apartment and local amenities were concerned - especially since Kinsale is overflowing with excellent restaurants and shops. The tourist office is also close by, helpful and easy to plan coach trips from Cork. Our only criticism was the wi-fi which was available in the cafe close by and which worked in the apartment for my friend's tablet but not for my iPad or Kiindle. It was easy to use the cafe's wi-fi but the apartment should probably be equipped with it.

The renouned Old Head of Kinsale Links course is within 10 kms and Kinsale Golf Club which has an 18 hole course within 5 kms.

Guided Walks with the gorgeous scenic Scilly Walk which will take you up over the Harbour ending at the famous Bulman Pub in Summercove (Beginning/End of Wild Atlantic Way). A quick refreshment in the Bulman will give you energy to continue up to Charles Fort.
