Everything about this experience was just FUN! I mean enjoyable FUN! Set in the middle of a charming neighborhood on the south side of Chapel Hill, maybe 15 minutes from downtown and UNC, you feel as though you are in the lost forest. You have neighbors, especially Michael and Kathleen and their absolutely charming (four legged) ambassadors. Nature is the key. The location is set in a wooden environment, with plenty of ground cover and beautiful plants, exquisite walking trails and a bit of privacy all rolled into one. The "Medicine House" is divinely laid out as an octagonal building, with most of the house wide open without walls, every one of which has windows. With the exception of the bedroom suite and the guest bathroom, there is no interruption of the floor plan. The kitchen sets along one wall, discretely outfitted with the best utilities including a large over-under refrigerator, dishwasher, large sink and a wall oven/microwave combination. There is an island which can double as an eating bar or food preparation counter or just a social gathering locale. A lovely sitting area includes a large sofa opposite some wonderfully comfortable, big, soft leather chairs. A discrete office corner is available if you must work. Alexa awaits your listening pleasure with sound throughout.
And the crowning touch is down the stairs along one wall. Your own movie lounge including a comfortable couch for two and a wide screen television set up for your entertainment.
I have stayed in some very nice facilities in Chapel Hill, but this location is absolutely the best. And it is affordable. And it comes with charming hosts concerned only for your enjoyment.
You will be the poorer for missing this spot if you do not schedule a visit soon.
Thank you Kathleen and Michael. We will be back!
