Luxury in central Rome

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully decorated, very clean, spacious, centrally located, and every amenity you could need (including air conditioning in every room which must be essential in the summer). The kitchen and balcony area was our favorite place to relax after touring during all day. The place was overall very comfortable and felt like being at home. The booking arrangements and people we dealt with for the reservation and checkin/out were all helpful and responsive. They used WhatsApps as well as text and phone - very convenient. There is small well-stocked grocery story not very far away (Carre-Express) with packaged food, prepared fresh food, as well as produce and baked goods. There's also a must smaller shop with similar goods but a smaller selection just at the end of the block. A cafe/bar, restaurant, and coffeeshop in the same area just down the block. There's even a weekend market with lots of local fresh food and goods around the corner, as well as a place for gelato and macaroons (we ate pretty well haha). This rental was well worth the price - would highly recommend it.

Great location, amazing views, wonderfully equipped

  • 5 of 5

This year was our second time staying in the apartment. Having stayed in many apartments in Rome, just the combination of a well-located and quiet neighborhood is tricky, and this apartment is both. It was an easy walk to major sites, yet in a quiet, friendly and beautiful neighborhood. The views over the forum from the terraces are tranquil and awe-inspiring - the only peril is that because of the seagulls, food can never be left unattended outside, which is an issue throughout Rome. The entire apartment is comfortably fitted - I cooked for 6 people on many nights of our stay (to be fair, some of it was more shopping than cooking, given the wealth of amazing cheeses, salumi, breads and produce). Every room is comfortable and well-fitted. The air conditioning gave us a refuge on several very hot days. Carlo is incredibly kind and accommodating - I really cannot think of enough nice things to say about this apartment.

Pawleys Island, South Carolina USA

  • 5 of 5

There were 4 of us that are neighbors from Pawleys Island, SC USA that made our way throughout Italy and ended our stay here in Rome. If you are skeptical about the unbelievable pictures on the HomeAway site regarding Charme Foro Roman Luxury Terrace, do NOT be! Actually, the internet pictures do not do this beautiful apartment justice. The apartment is on 3 levels and reflects the beauty, personality, charm, and love of its owners. The property is clean, spacious, light-filled with beautiful touches, exquisite art, and Roman accessories. There is nothing you need to bring except your tooth brush and clothes.

Where else can one stay in Rome with such a wonderfully, centrally located in a spacious apartment where you can just gaze upon an amazing view of the Roman Forum, the Capital and Palentine. The apartment is located on a small, quiet and very safe street away from the crowds, tourist groups, and hustle and bustle of Rome. Yet, you are actually in walking distance to many of Rome's historic sites and "must-sees" while you are there. Restaraunts are in a short walking distance. Actually, our group fell in love with a small bar restaurant (Normale) minutes away where we could have had every meal there. Everything is homemade, is a favorite for the locals, and the owner is a delight.

There is also a grocery store minutes away where you can purchase everything you need for your afternoon wine and cheese on the terrace of the property overlooking The Roman Forum. We purchased the HopOn HopOff Bus service pass for 48 hours while we were that will get you to many of the sites. We found ourselves after the first day, not using the service, but walking wherever we wanted to go. We were all in our mid 60s and walking was not a problem.

We were not sure what daily cleaning service we were going to have, but to our surprise we had someone that came each day to make beds, clean the bathrooms and tidy up the kitchen area which made our stay even more pleasant.

Carlo, a true Roman gentleman, was our contact person for our stay and was readily available (prior to our arrival right through our departure) by phone to answer any questions, make suggestions, and even arranged for a van to pick us up for the airport.

If Rome is your destination, this property can be an awesome choice for you in this beautiful city. Our group is most appreciative to Carlo for making our stay special and memorable! We will return!!

The location of this apartment could not be any better. We could walk to everything and see the Roman Forum from our balcony. The inside was very comfortable and spacious and a cleaning crew came everyday. The hosts were on time both in arrival and departure and were very helpful. The apartment is located on a quiet street with restaurants and grocery store nearby. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying in Roma.

Fantastic apartment surrounded by ancient Rome

  • 5 of 5

We had 3 couples sharing this fabulous apartment. It is in the center of ancient Rome a short walk from the Forum and to the metro at the Coliseum. You are on a very old and private street with an electric gate and courtyard and is very quiet. Carlo is an excellent host and is very easy to communicate with and responsive. He arranged an excellent transfer from the airport for 6 and then personally met us to give a tour of the apartment with explanations and guidance. There was a large event going on at the time of our departure and he was concerned that the shuttle might not be able to drive to the apartment. He personally met us early in the morning to make certain everything would be ok and it was. This is a wonderful place to stay with lovely old furniture, sculptures, and art. The kitchen is modern and all 3 bedrooms have private modern bathrooms. This was perfect for us. I would only comment that there are 4 levels, entry, first floor with living room and bedroom, 2nd floor with 2 bedrooms, and 3rd floor with kitchen and dining area. There is then an wonderful patio and another set of steps with a second patio with a fantastic view of city. If steps are a problem for you then this might not be the best place but after all the great food in Rome, we all need our exercise. We loved having two nice places to eat nearby and would recommend both Normale and InRoma. Thank you Carlo for being a great host and making your apartment available to us.
