ROME DOES NOR GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!

  • 5 of 5

There were 4 of us that are neighbors from Pawleys Island, SC USA that made our way throughout Italy and ended our stay here in Rome. If you are skeptical about the unbelievable pictures on the HomeAway site regarding Charme Foro Roman Luxury Terrace, do NOT be! Actually, the internet pictures do not do this beautiful apartment justice. The apartment is on 3 levels and reflects the beauty, personality, charm, and love of its owners. The property is clean, spacious, light-filled with beautiful touches, exquisite art, and Roman accessories. There is nothing you need to bring except your tooth brush and clothes.

Where else can one stay in Rome with such a wonderfully, centrally located in a spacious apartment where you can just gaze upon an amazing view of the Roman Forum, the Capital and Palentine. The apartment is located on a small, quiet and very safe street away from the crowds, tourist groups, and hustle and bustle of Rome. Yet, you are actually in walking distance to many of Rome's historic sites and "must-sees" while you are there. Restaraunts are in a short walking distance. Actually, our group fell in love with a small bar restaurant (Normale) minutes away where we could have had every meal there. Everything is homemade, is a favorite for the locals, and the owner is a delight.

There is also a grocery store minutes away where you can purchase everything you need for your afternoon wine and cheese on the terrace of the property overlooking The Roman Forum. We purchased the HopOn HopOff Bus service pass for 48 hours while we were that will get you to many of the sites. We found ourselves after the first day, not using the service, but walking wherever we wanted to go. We were all in our mid 60s and walking was not a problem.

We were not sure what daily cleaning service we were going to have, but to our surprise we had someone that came each day to make beds, clean the bathrooms and tidy up the kitchen area which made our stay even more pleasant.

Carlo, a true Roman gentleman, was our contact person for our stay and was readily available (prior to our arrival right through our departure) by phone to answer any questions, make suggestions, and even arranged for a van to pick us up for the airport.

If Rome is your destination, this property can be an awesome choice for you in this beautiful city. Our group is most appreciative to Carlo for making our stay special and memorable! We will return!!

Arrivederci!

Perfetto!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this apartment could not be any better. We could walk to everything and see the Roman Forum from our balcony. The inside was very comfortable and spacious and a cleaning crew came everyday. The hosts were on time both in arrival and departure and were very helpful. The apartment is located on a quiet street with restaurants and grocery store nearby. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying in Roma.

Fantastic apartment surrounded by ancient Rome

  • 5 of 5

We had 3 couples sharing this fabulous apartment. It is in the center of ancient Rome a short walk from the Forum and to the metro at the Coliseum. You are on a very old and private street with an electric gate and courtyard and is very quiet. Carlo is an excellent host and is very easy to communicate with and responsive. He arranged an excellent transfer from the airport for 6 and then personally met us to give a tour of the apartment with explanations and guidance. There was a large event going on at the time of our departure and he was concerned that the shuttle might not be able to drive to the apartment. He personally met us early in the morning to make certain everything would be ok and it was. This is a wonderful place to stay with lovely old furniture, sculptures, and art. The kitchen is modern and all 3 bedrooms have private modern bathrooms. This was perfect for us. I would only comment that there are 4 levels, entry, first floor with living room and bedroom, 2nd floor with 2 bedrooms, and 3rd floor with kitchen and dining area. There is then an wonderful patio and another set of steps with a second patio with a fantastic view of city. If steps are a problem for you then this might not be the best place but after all the great food in Rome, we all need our exercise. We loved having two nice places to eat nearby and would recommend both Normale and InRoma. Thank you Carlo for being a great host and making your apartment available to us.

Wonderful apartment, location and host!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five loved this apartment. We had plenty of room for everyone and my wife was especially happy that housekeepers stopped by every day and cleaned! The apartment is in an excellent location, literally minutes walk from some of the most famous sights in Rome and the terrace has great views of the Forum. Carlo was a first-rate host and was very responsive to our requests. He met us upon arrival, arranged for transportation to and from the airport and met us for our departure, as well. We loved our Rome vacation home and would definitely come back for more.

Elegant living in the heart of Rome

  • 5 of 5

The property did not disappoint, the ancient building coupled with modern amenities made it feel like we were living in Rome. The apartment is in a safe, central location and within walking distance to many historical, shopping and restaurant locations. We spent our mornings and evenings on the lovely terrace. The small grocery store down the street had a good selection of food and Carlo was helpful and available for any questions we had during our stay; the perfect host. Grazi Carlo and Rome. Lisa & Alex. Wonderful apartment in quiet yet convenient part of Rome.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed this apartment and would recommend it to anyone. The light-filled top floor with kitchen, dining/sitting area, and terrace overlooking part of the Roman Forum is a joyous spot to hang out during all times of the day. The bedrooms and baths are all very comfortable. We were especially pleased with -- and pleasantly surprised by -- the daily maid service that made our beds, cleaned up the kitchen, and otherwise kept the place extra tidy. The owners and their staff were immediately responsive whenever we had any questions. On top of all this, the location is perfect -- both quiet (no tourist crowds!) yet convenient to the parts of Rome we wanted to visit. Great choice!
