The Chalet has an open floor plan with a modern kitchen, two bedrooms, and a spacious lofted sleeping area that can double as a reading nook, office, or playroom for the kids. You will find all our mattresses and bedding to be comfortable and clean. The living room, built of the gorgeous white pine native to this region, features cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows to let in the natural beauty of the area. A large flat-screen TV can be tucked away or revealed for football games or movie nights. Check out our DVD and board game collections!

In the basement, you will find foosball and ping pong tables, and an assortment of cross country skis, snowshoes, and other toys to freely use during your stay. Step out the front door to find yourself on an endless network of local snowmobile, snowshoe, ski and hiking trails!

The Chalet is nestled in the dynamic and exciting ‘Lakes Region’ of Maine, This area boasts some of the best skiing, fishing, boating, hiking, biking, and rock climbing in New England. About chris christoforo and rebecca christoforo

My husband and I fell in love with this beautiful log home as soon as we saw it. In snowy November the house was warm and inviting with lovely views in every direction. Our family has spent countless beautiful days here together, and I am so happy to share this place with those who love this region of Maine as much as I do.

Fabulous Maine getaway

  • 5 of 5

The property is easy to get to, off the main road, close to area ski resorts. It is totally private. The home is beautifully decorated. The living room with wood stove was so cozy, warm and appealing. We kept the stove on just for the ambiance; there's nothing like a crackling fire and wood was plentifully provided. The kitchen is beautifully equiped; the bedrooms extremely comfortable; there was satellite TV, a hot tub, wireless Internet, lots of games, movies, books. The night sky from the deck of this lovely A frame was awash in stars that cannot ever be seen from the city. The mountains were brilliant with fall colors. This was truly a perfect getaway weekend, close to the Fryeburg Fair. We hope to return in the winter for another delightful stay.

Breathtaking

Nice cabin in the mountains. Cabin was real clean and cozy. Secluded but close to nearby town. Really enjoyed going on hikes and swimming at the nearby lake. Local people real friendly. We enjoyed going to the nearby farmers market for fresh produce. We will definitely will be coming back. We highly recommend this place.

Great Getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this well cared for home. We had a couple of rainy days, which we didn't mind because the space is so comfortable and well stocked with movies. There were so many gorgeous spots close by for hiking and kayaking. Chris supplied lots of info about the area and was very responsive to our emails. We are planning a return visit with friends this winter for hiking and snow shoeing. Thanks Chris!

Beautiful retreat

  • 5 of 5

I spent the week here with My husband, my 12 year old daughter and two small dogs. We all had an amazing time. We spent a week at the Chalet and it was everything we hoped it would be. It truly felt like home for the entire week. The Chalet was very secluded and quiet. It was within a half an hour to an hour of many restaurants and recreational activities. We went horseback trail riding which was only 12 minutes from the house. Our dogs loved it as well. They wanted to spend all of their time outside and it was safe for them to roam around. Chris was really amazing, she got back to me within hours anytime I needed a response regarding our stay, I hope we can make this a yearly ritual. It was the perfect home away from home for the week. The Area is great also. The hot tub was really nice also

Relaxing Stay in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the chalet! Chris is very responsive to e-mails. Our dog loved hanging out on the deck, and it was great that the house had gates to secure the deck. Maine in July is very buggy, but there we were not bothered at all by bugs when we were on the deck.

Chris provided great tips for activities in the area, and we had a nice walk to a nearby lake to go swimming in the mornings. Bethel and Sunday River are convenient from the house.
