About Doug Nardi
My father Jim and my wife Betsy purchased this home in 1999. Originally from St. Louis with large families on both sides, the house has been a central hub for our family gatherings over the years.

Why Doug Nardi chose
My family has been vacationing on Seabrook Island since 1984. We love the tranquility of the ocean breezes and the great golf courses. In 1999 we stumbled upon this home and instantly fell in love with the ocean views from the decks and the ease of getting to the beach and resort pool - it's at the very heart of Seabrook Island activity!
What makes this House unique
Phenomenal ocean views from two huge decks. Direct access to the beach via a boardwalk that traverses through the pristine protected dunes where Loggerhead turtles nest.

Thankful for a great Thanksgiving at Loggerhead🦃!
Loggerhead was a perfect home to spend our family Thanksgiving gathering. The property owner, Doug, was awesome in communication and assistance. The house is very close to the beach. The different levels, decks provided many options for spending time together or quiet time alone. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to navigate. So happy the property had an elevator, this was appreciated greatly. We all had an amazing holiday at Loggerhead. We would definitely consider staying at this property again. Doug, thank you for being so available during your holiday. The house was great!!
It was a great property because of the upper deck that was right off of the kitchen, This allowed for a brisk ocean breeze that kept the bugs at bay yet allowed easy access to food and drinks for the entire family. I do think the home could use some new paint (especially on the entrance steps) yet this would not dissuade me from renting this property again. Thx Doug Nardi!
Thanks for the kind comments. We had a painter scheduled for the front steps prior to the rental season beginning, however the wet weather made painting challenging and once the rental season begins it is impossible to find the necessary time for painting and drying without interupting a guest stay.
Home left messy by previous tenant
When we arrived, the refrigerator was dirty and had residue of the last tenant’s food. Several serving pieces were still covered in chips and salsa. There were beer cans on the deck and in the bushes. All six trash cans were overflowing with trash and smelled terrible. There were empty beer cases in the basement. The beach furniture was strewn about and not in good repair. Don’t know if these issues are a function of a poor cleaning service or that the previous tenants abused the property beyond the limits of a days cleaning. All this being said, the house was lovely, if unclean, and is in a nice location. We would not recommend this house to anyone with mobility issues as the trip to the beach is six minutes by foot and there are stairs to manage. We alerted the property manager about the condition of the house and inquired about items left behind and she never responded. The house has a nice view for a second row house and the kitchen and living room was workable for our extended family of nine. The middle floor housed the bedrooms and smelled a bit musty and mildewy.
Joan, my sincerest apologies for our cleaning crew and property mangers poor performance. This is the first time in 20 years we have had a complaint on the cleanliness of our home. We take great pride in offering the finest Seabrook Island experience, have used the same cleaning person for many years without any prior issues and will deal with this situation appropriately. Unfortunately, trash pick-up doesn't occur until Monday's, so we keep 6 large trash receptacles which we have found to accommodate multiple guests - obviously, that wasn't the case with the guest prior to your arrival. While our house is not ADA compliant, the elevator provides guests with mobility issues quite a bit of freedom. As you mention, the beach is accessible in 5 minutes from our boardwalk, though for guests with mobility issues, Seabrook Island offers free pickup and rides to the beach as stated in our guest book. We are glad you enjoyed the wonderful view from the decks. Regards, Doug Nardi
Gorgeous location and well-kept beautiful home
This place felt like home the moment we walked in the door. The bedrooms are super cute and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen is AMAZING and has everything you need! We loved it and are planning to come back😊
Best Beach Rental Ever
The house is beautiful and fully stocked with everything you would want. Working in the kitchen is like working in your own home (the only thing I missed was my good kitchen knives) with everything you could need. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. We particularly loved the two decks. The most thoughtful thing, in our opinion, is that the owner has seen to it that there are beach chairs, an umbrella, a beach cart, noodles, toys, etc. We would certainly rent this property again.
A great place to stay with quality space and great views
