Photos and Description of this Sliema holiday apartment

Your Maltese Home is in a Prime Location.

The Space

Welcome! Come and have a fabulous stay in our apartment! Let us know if you have any questions or special requirements.

With a beautiful sea view, your apartment comes finished to the highest standard.

The apartment has high ceilings, large rooms and a wide hallway to give a superb feeling of space. You have two beautiful modern bathrooms, you have two big bath tubs and two large showers. You then have two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a super-king sized bed which can be made into 2 comfortable single beds with most amazing sea view over to Valetta.

Your kitchen is very well equipped so you can enjoy home cooked dinners and save on restaurant bills. The kitchen, sitting room and dining room are open plan and lead to your balcony which is one of the best views on the island. The view out of the windows at the back of your apartment is equally breathtaking.

During the summer months there is a large designated swimming area within a 3 minute walk from your apartment and you also have a sports club with full amenities which is also 3 minutes away and this costs E 20 for a week’s membership.

Tigne Point is 4 minutes walk from the apartment. It is the central hub for a vibrant mix of shops, cafés and bars. You can sip a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or savour a meal while soaking in the atmosphere and relaxing to the sound of the trickling fountains. Within the Tigne Point shopping centre you will find a big supermarket with plenty of choice.

As you walk along the promenade the other way, so this time you turn right as you leave the apartment and head towards Sliema’s town centre, you will find some more of Malta’s fun and fashionable shops, restaurants and bars.

Guest Access

We work with a private chauffeur firm who will greet you at the arrivals terminal at the airport. He will have your name on his board so that you can recognise him easily and then he will give you a comfortable journey from the airport to your apartment for the same cost as a taxi. The cost is 20 Euros for 4 people and luggage.

If I am in Malta I will show you around your apartment myself, but if I am abroad, then Dennis, who is now a friend, and the owner of the chauffeur firm that we use, he will give you the keys to your apartment and show you around.

I have negotiated this free check in for you when Dennis picks you up from the airport. Alternatively if you would like to make your own way to the apartment then I can book someone to come and show you around. As this person will incur her time to get to the apartment and is likely to have to wait a while if your plane is delayed and help you if you get lost, you would need to pay her 8 Euros for her time and I would be grateful if you would pay this in advance of your arrival if you choose this option instead of the free check-in.

Interaction with Guests

We welcome families, business professionals and couples to this beautiful apartment.

Our approach is providing you with the freedom you require to fully enjoy your stay at the apartment. So, in advance of your arrival we will provide you with a ‘welcome pack’ document that sets out what you need to know about the apartment when you arrive.

We also provide you with ‘Our local guide to Malta’ two weeks before arrival. This explains many local places you can visit, eat, drink or go to during your visit.

On arrival you will be welcomed and shown around the apartment and during your stay I will contact you from time to time by email or by phone to ensure all things are going well.

On the day before you depart I will contact you again to give you a gentle reminder of the chauffeur’s details and to confirm the pick-up time and support you with an easy check out.

If at any time during your stay you need anything please let me know and it will be attended to straightaway.

The location could not be bettered

  • 5 of 5

From the outset, Pam made the whole process of booking and staying at her stunning apartment a friendly and informative experience.

Transfer from the apartment was a breeze, thanks to the very helpful Dennis, and at a very reasonable price.

The property is located in a prime position with 180 degree stunning views from the furnished balcony. It is also very convenient for shopping, bars and restaurants, the ferry to Valletta, bus and tourist boat services, all of which are few minutes walk away.

The apartment has been renovated, furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard; we really wanted for nothing,

Pam even thoughtfully provides towels for swimming. There is a safe area for swimming in the harbour within a few hundred metres and various hotel pools which Pam explains how to access.

Overall we cannot recommend this apartment more highly, both in terms of value for money and the actual experience. It could not be bettered.

Amazing view, brilliant location, great host

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we booked Pam was in constant contact with us, making sure we had all the info and help we needed for our trip - in fact I don't think I've ever dealt with a more friendly & responsive host! We were met at the airport by a driver she helped us arrange, he also let us into the apartment, which was really convenient. The highlight was definitely the incredible view from the balcony, you could sit there all day watching all the action in the harbour. Across the road is a rocky swimming beach, or you can get day passes for the pools nearby (we just went into the sea). Location is perfect as it's a short walk to all the shops and restaurants you'd need, and Valletta is just a quick ferry ride away. The apartment itself was lovely and spacious, with plenty of room for 4 adults and our 20 month old son. There was milk and cookies left out for us which was a nice touch. It's not recommended that you drink the tapwater so the filter jug left in the fridge was also very handy, meant we didn't have to rely on buying bottled mineral water. Overall we had a wonderful 2 nights in Sliema, Pam's place was worth every cent and I highly recommend you book this place if it's available!

Beautiful Valetta

  • 5 of 5

Pam was a great host, we never met her but she provided very helpful communication by email and she organised a taxi pick up with Dennis who showed us the apartment and gave us tips on where to go. We had a great holiday and loved the apartment.

Loved the apartment and location

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with our stay at this property. Pam was delightful to work with and really helped with sharing information, knowledge and helpful tips. It was really easy having a driver pick us up at the airport and bring us to the apartment - one less thing to worry about and coordinate.

We loved that the building was secure and the location was perfect. The apartment itself is very spacious, clean and comfortable. All of the amenities worked very well and the apartment was exactly as described. Our luggage did not arrive on our flight so it was very convenient having The Point shopping center just up the street. The food center actually helped deliver our groceries back to the apartment - a service we don't get in the US. The ferry to Valletta is just down the street and a fun (and easy) way to get over to the city. We also purchased a 2-day ticket on the Malta Sightseeing bus, making it very easy to see the island and get to places we really wanted to explore.

I recommend wandering up the street away from the water to explore some more local restaurants and shops. There are several Maltese restaurants that were delicious, including: Ta' Kris (make a reservation) and Margaret Island. I also highly recommend making a reservation for Scoglitti - an amazing waterside restaurant just next to the ferry doc in Valletta in an old Police Station. The food is amazing and it was beautiful sitting outside watching the sunset on the water.

I highly recommend this apartment and loved working with Pam throughout the reservation and trip planning process. Even once we were there she was highly attentive to ensuring we had everything we needed and our stay was perfect. She was supportive and available (if needed) but not invasive.

My partner and I absolutely loved staying at Pam's place. Perfect location and an outstanding apartment with beautiful views to Valletta and across Sliema. Great view but the apartment is in need of proper TLC

  • 2 of 5

The best things about this apartment:

- Number 1 is the balcony/ view of Valetta - it's simply stunning

- It's in a great location.

- It's also a very spacious apartment.

Basically it has A LOT of potential, but it's clear that it's being over-used/rented and the standard of care, cleaning and overall aesthetics is really lacking. It's disappointing and doesn't live up to the price-tag and pictures:

- The windows are absolutely filthy and it's almost impossible to see out to the beautiful view of Valetta from the main bedroom

- The main bedroom had two single beds pushed together which is uncomfortable if you're a couple (and there are no mirrors in this room either)

- There is a lot of clutter - in the cupboards, wardrobes etc... and it can be hard to find practical things like the iron and hairdryer which were not in the places suggested in the booklet

- The sink in the main bathroom is blocked

- The overall furnishing of the house is very basic / lacks coherence i.e. fluffy red (unappealing) blankets over the sofa which is very low

Please also note that an 11:30am/ 12pm check-out is considered 'late' and we were asked if we would mind washing the sheets and towels before the cleaner arrived (basically new guests arrive shortly after). While the host seems really lovely over email, we thought that was one step too far.

We think the place is in real need of an upgrade and thorough clean/decluttering before it can be let out!

Owner's Response: I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the view, the location and the space. I am happy to hear that you feel it has a lot of potential. We do try to let our guests enjoy the apartment from the moment they arrive on the island, even if that means it is early in the morning like 2am to the moment they leave which is often late at night. As I do not charge for a late check out I do ask that if it is convenient to pop the towels into the wash while you enjoy the apartment longer then it does help my lovely housekeeper a little. My housekeeper often works late into the night or very early in the morning so that it is convenient for our guests. So my housekeeper on the whole does and excellent job but there is always room for improvement with everything and I always genuinely welcome feedback and ways that we can improve. It is a shame that you did not mention any of the comments about the TLC or sink at the time because I have such a super team that would have come and dealt with each of the issues immediately. May I suggest that if you stay somewhere else and feel that something is not how you want it, you tell the owner immediately so that they can sort everything for you. The advantage of having a super king bed that can be made into two singles is that it gives versatility. All the mattresses are of very high quality and extremely expensive but again mattress tastes differ from individual to individual. There is one long mirror in one bedroom and there are two huge fixed in the two bathrooms. Regarding the cupboards, in each of the bedrooms there are two floor to ceiling, totally empty wardrobes. There is 1 other wardrobe with our personal things and for housekeeping. Regarding the covers on the sofas, we like them because they are cuddly and soft and protect the furniture from fading in the very strong sun and also they protect the sofas when anyone gets a little hot and sweaty in the heat, these sofa covers can be washed and made fresh for the next guest, so it is just as much for hygene as well as for saving the sofas from the sun. Thanks again also for your feedback and I hope this helps to explain the points that you raised, Pam
