This is a spectacular first floor apartment in a stunning location only recently fully refurbished throughout to a very high standard. With a private, full width, south-facing balcony there is a really special view over Westbourne Terrace. The balcony provides ample room for the table and seating for 4 people - Ideal for al-fresco dining or just a lovely way to sip the morning coffee whilst soaking up the sounds of the city.

Entrance is via the grand pillared entrance - The locked front door leads into the clean and carpeted stairway up to the apartment. Another locked door leads into the hallway with doors through to bedroom 1 (with ensuite), bedroom 2, family shower room and Lounge/Kitchen. The apartment has that classical look of a building dating from 1840 with 3.5 metre / 11 ft 6 inch high ceilings and wooden floors throughout. Additionally there is a mezzanine area above the kitchen which is home to the 3rd bedroom with a king size double bed (note, this room has a low ceiling height of 5 feet).

The clean decor with chrome fittings, luxury wooden flooring and beautiful decorative and designer touches like the stainless steel architectural staircase complete this lovingly warm and modern interior.

The apartment can comfortably sleep 5 adults in beds with a maximum of 6 by utilising the pull-out sofa bed. There is also a travel cot which can be used in any of the rooms (linen for the cot can be provided on request).


You really don’t get much better in terms of location for a short stay in London, getting from the airport to the apartment and for getting around during your stay in London. The apartment sits in the middle of the grand, tree lined Westbourne Terrace which is literally a stones throw from Hyde Park and London Paddington Train and Underground tube station. Paddington Station is less than 5 minutes walk from the house and is a fantastic hub station with entry to the Bakerloo, Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines. The Heathrow express train also runs trains every 15 minutes to and from Heathrow Airport and takes just 15 minutes! And the Central Line (underground) is also easily accessible from Lancaster Gate Tube station which is adjacent to Hyde Park just 6 minutes walk from the apartment.

Alongside Lancaster Gate station the following bus services also run in just about every direction imaginable - London bus routes 7, 23, 27, 36, 46, 205, 332, 436 and Night route N7. Location Good, but Service Poor

We were a couple and two individuals needing three bedrooms. The description of the property sounded perfect with 3 bedrooms. But the third loft bedroom was used by our shortest person and she still had to bend over when she wasn't lying down in bed. We couldn't adjust the temperature in the apartment - it was regulated in some distant part of the apartment building. So two of the bedrooms could be cooled down at night by opening windows; but, the low ceilinged room had no windows and all the warm air came up to the loft from below.

Location was good! Very close to the Paddington station. Ease of reserving the place was good. Rowan was very responsive.

But when it came to actually servicing the apartment while we were there it was a different story. He had Peter meet us - he was late while we stood outside in the cold and rain for half an hour. Peter apologized that there were wet towels in the clothes drier, and said the cleaning person had not finished the cleaning and would be back shortly and would bring some laundry soap. The cleaning person did not arrive during our entire stay. We finished drying the towels. We finished the dishes in the dishwasher. We dusted the furniture in the main bedroom (filthy). The refrigerator had standing water from the thaw due to the electricity being turned off. The coffee maker had only a few coffee packets, so it was unusable. Peter continued to respond to our pleas that he would be with us shortly to take care of the problems, but he did not do so until our final day in the apartment. He came in while we were out and left laundry soap and cheap wine with an apology.

For the price we paid, we did not receive value, unless we paid all that money to live close to Paddington... Perhaps!?

Relaxing and comfortable stay

I had a great stay in Westbourne Terrace; communication with the host was very smooth and professional. They were also flexible to welcome me at the property because my flight arrived late and I was able to keep in touch with them. The flat was recommended to me and indeed I was pleasantly surprised. The location is great as it is only a short walk from Paddington station which has great underground connections and some good breakfast spots. The West End is also not too far either. The street is very beautiful and definitely feels safe to walk even late at night. When I arrived there were fresh flowers and a bowl of fruit which was a very nice touch. The flat was quite spacious, it also has a beautiful balcony overlooking a street full of classic townhouses. The heating was very good and the bed was also very comfortable in a quiet room. I would definitely recommend it and would use this apartment again when in London. Thank you very much! : )
