Renovated Bull Barn in Salisbury

Bedrooms 3
Half Baths1
Property type barn
Minimum Stay 2 - 31 nights

About the property

3 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths, sleeps 6

Charming renovated Barn, very private, with pastoral views. Newly renovated through-out, the Barn features a double-height, vaulted ceiling in the Kitchen and Living and Dining areas, with great light and views.

Within a short walk from the house, a woodland trail leads to a spectacular waterfall and swimming hole - wonderful for adults and children, alike.

Lovely stay at the Bull Barn

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the Bull Barn. Beautiful, peaceful setting on a meadow on beautiful Rt. 41. Close to hiking trails. The village of Sailsbury is charming, and close to Great Barrington and beyond.

The house is well equipped and the living area is very spacious. Kitchen is very functional and well stocked. Nice deck for hanging out and reading. Bedrooms are small but comfortable. Nice to be able to walk right outside. Would like to have had better showers. Not enough volume. That needs some attention. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks Bebe. We would definitely return.

Perfect Place to Get Away

  • 5 of 5

The Barn was perfect in size, 3 bedrooms downstairs with 2 full baths. Upstairs was an open concept kitchen dining and living room. The space was perfect, comfortable and in the most perfect location to explore NY, CT and the Berkshires(MA). If you go eat at the Stagecoach Tavern and don't miss breakfast at the Bistro in town.

Unique place to stay in NW Connecticut

  • 4 of 5

The owner is very responsive and great to work with, and the location is great for visiting the Salisbury area. The barn itself, like any such renovation project, has its quirks. The main floor is a wonderful open living/dining area with views to surrounding meadows. The bedrooms are downstairs and are smaller and darker, and the bathrooms have enough "character" to either delight or annoy (depending on whether you care about fitting yourself under low-hanging antique shower heads, for example). Overall, a nice clean quiet place to stay for a couple or small family.

Rented this house for an overnight getaway with a few friends. The pictures do not do this house justice. It is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The 3 bedrooms downstairs are very cozy and comfortable! The owner was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend! Will definitely come back for another visit!

Great Place!

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time! The place is open, comfortable and easy to relax in. We saw a deer the very first day & a few bunnies. The walk to the waterfall & swimming hole was extremely easy, the water is clear & cool. I recommend everyone go on the trail, it's a fantastic time. It's a beautiful area, we walked into Massachusetts in 15 seconds, just to cross the border & drove to New York in 10 minutes - that was pretty cool! This place is quiet & beautiful!!

Spacious & peaceful

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for a week in July 2016. The furnishings are beautiful, and the space--with its vaulted ceiling--is open and sunny, just like the pictures. The bedrooms (comfortable beds) are downstairs, below the main rooms, and stay cool even on a hot day. The kitchen is well appointed and great to cook in. Bathrooms are immaculately clean and nicely renovated. High quality sheets and towels. The lawn and meadow are lovely too! We enjoyed trips to the nearby waterfall, Great Barrington, Lion's Head hike, Edith Wharton's The Mount, and the Catamount aerial park (only 15 minutes away). The owner is nearby if you need her, but she also leaves you on your own if you don't! Very responsive and helpful.
