Located on the world famous Kenai Peninsula on the banks of Resurrection Bay, Seward is one of Alaska’s most beautiful and historic cities. Seward's proximity to the Kenai Fjords National Park make it a must stop location for all who visit Alaska. Conveniently located only 126 miles south of Anchorage, visitors can travel to Seward via the scenic Seward Highway, the AK Railroad system, by bus, air, or ship. Seward is also less than a one hour drive from Kenai River fishing. Depending on the time of year, outdoor experiences can include sport fishing, wildlife cruises, sailing, hiking, kayaking, flight seeing tours, glacier viewing, dog sled rides, cross-country skiing and snow machining. Additionally, visitors to Seward enjoy our Alaska Sealife Center, many unique shops, fine restaurants and galleries featuring local artists.
Spectacular mountain and bay views will greet you upon your arrival. Around the corner from the Alaska Sealife Center and downtown Seward, the location of this cozy, bay front home is perfect. Amenities include full kitchen, two full baths, laundry, and sleeping accommodations for up to ten guests. There is also a chest freezer for your daily catch. Cable television is available in two bedrooms and a television with a DVD player is available in the living room. Spot eagles and otters right from the picture windows. Take your coffee and watch the sunrise over the Kenai Fjords every morning during your stay (Depending on the time of year, that might mean getting up very early!). Enjoy Mt. Marathon views as you grill in the backyard or take an evening stroll along the beach. Plenty of board games and books are also available for you to enjoy in front of the fireplace.

We have been thrilled to open the cottage to those exploring Seward since 2008. We have lived in Alaska for 20 years now and we fell in love with Seward the first time we visited.
Seward Properties purchased this cottage in 2006
The location of this property is incredible! We love our views, the proximity to town and that the Sealife Center is right around the corner. The cottage itself has a great deal of character and charm, a classic Seward home!
I love the location of this house! It is close to everything, has a great view and is very spacious. I feel like it was a great deal for the price and, if I ever return to Seward, I would stay here again.
Our family of 5 adults enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is a very neat clean updated property with great views and location. Our only complaints were the downstairs had a very strong mildew odor and the downstairs bathroom shower was really un-usable with no holder for the shower head so difficult to use for adults. With so many beds, it was disappointing there wasn't 1 more bath, especially with the basement shower really un-usable. We also were disappointed with the lighting in the dining area as we were playing cards, games, etc. so difficult with dim lighting. This was a great cottage, but downstairs shower needs some "tweaking". I wouldn't recommend this cottage for more than 4-5 adults just due to the shower situation but a beautiful, well maintained property with comfortable bed and furnishings and close to town and park across the street - beautiful area!
Everything was in order when we arrived and easily fit our group of 9 adults! The location is perfect with the free shuttle just across the street to take us to the harbor area. A bonus that we did not know about! A 3 block walk took us downtown to many restaurants and shops. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook a full meal or just breakfast (you are on vacation and there are fantastic restaurants downtown and at the harbor!!!) Thanks, Nicole! We had a great time!
Hideaway gem in plain site. We had a fabulous stay at this quaint home. It was so comfortable, convenient, immaculate and a spectacular location with a Birdseye view of the ocean and wildlife. The beds were very comfy and the washer and dryer were a luxury and modern. They playground across the street was a 2 thumbs up for the kids and I loved the fact we were walking distance to lots of restaurants/bars and the Seward Brewery is a must. The grill was great to have so we could grill Some of the fresh fish we caught. They had lots of lawn chairs to soak up the sun! I would highly recommend this jewel and I plan to stay again. And.... Nicole the property manager was awesome!!
The house was comfortable, clean and roomy. There were seven of us who stayed for two nights. It has a beautiful view of the bay and is conveniently located. We were able to walk to many shops and restaurants. Communications from Home and Away before and after our arrival were excellent. I would stay there again and highly recommend it to others.
Easy check in and out. Nice and clean accommodations for small or large group. Perfect location with views. Hope to stay again!
We stayed at this home in early August and it worked well for our party of 8. We had 5 teens with us and they slept in the upstairs area which had 4 twins (we added an air mattress). The upstairs got a bit warm during the day so we used the fans that were provided to circulate the air. The beds were comfortable and the home was well stocked with all we needed to enjoy our vacation. The home was large with 2 coaches in the living room area and enough dining area for us all. The key to this home is the location. It is located with a water view and a short walk to town, the Sealife Center and about a mile walk along the shore to the small boat harbor. I would definitely stay at this home again if the opportunity arises.
