We enjoyed out visit to La Spezia very much. Adriano even put up some Christmas lights on the house for us.
Location definitely requires a car and the drive is quite winding up the hill but the views are definitely worth it. Despite it being December we were able to enjoy several lunches out on the terrace.
A great stay
Our group of five adults loved the Villa and the gorgeous views, especially from the terraces. We were well taken care of and look forward to returning one day.
Well worth finding this spot
House was ideal for multiple couples
Vacation of a lifetime
The property is amazing. The views are amazing. The only thing that would make it better is if we owned the property. We are trying to find out when we can come back. Great space and very comfortable.
Lovely villa, spectacular view!
The Redbreast's Villa is a beautiful home which, although of modern design, is decorated with some lovely antique furniture and fixtures. Two bedrooms, a living room and dining area, kitchen and two bathrooms (one ensuite) comprise the upper/main level. All rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are modern and well equipped.
The kitchen is sunny and bright and equipped with everything you might need. The Lower level is huge with a sitting area, billiards table, chess and games table and excercise area and.......another bathroom!
Outside the kitchen is a lovely covered deck area for dining al fresco or sipping a morning cup of coffee while taking in the beautiful view.
The views over La Spezia, the Marina and the Gulf of Poets nothing short of spectacular.
The villa is spotlessly clean and it is obvious that the owners care about the property and their guests' experience. Thank you Adriano and Paula.
Gorgeous Villa, Wonderful Owners!
We stayed at the villa for three nights while we toured Cinque Terre and couldn't have been happier. The view was incredible and the villa itself was in pristine condition and absolutely beautiful. Adriano and his family were as nice as could be meeting us at the property and giving us a full tour with background information about the area. At the bottom of the hill, there are several small markets and a great little pizzeria. We would definitely like to go back and stay for a longer time. The drive up to the villa is a tad tumultuous and we got a bit lost at first, but once you figure it out it's definitely worth it. A great, inexpensive way to see Cinque Terre and other attractions in the area. Thanks to the owners for a great stay!
The villa is not far from many places of interest and / or interest, accessible by land (eg. Portovenere (6. 5 km), Riomaggiore (12 km), Lerici (14km), Tellaro (18km), Sarzana (19 Km), Luni (25 Km) or by boats from the port of La Spezia (for the 5 Terre, Portovenere, Lerici, Portofino, Palmaria Island etc.). The 5 Terre, with its National Park, can be easily reached by rail, using extremely frequent local trains. The Central Station has ample underground parking for a fee. Easily accessible by motorway to the cities of art: Pisa (90 km), Genova (100 km), Florence (170 km), Milan (213 km), Bologna (220 km), Siena (226 km), Verona (260 km), Venice (370km), Rome (430 km), and many others. In the city there are many museums: Naval (at Military Arsenal of La Spezia), Modern Art (CAMeC), Lia, Seal (historical collection of stamps and seals).
On the waterfront of the city are beautiful flower gardens, unique in its kind in Italy. The Old Town is animated by bars, restaurants, pizzerias, shops.
Nearby La Spezia are both beaches of sand (resort San Terenzo, Baia Blu, Venere Azzurra and Marinella of Sarzana) that rocky coastline (Portovenere and the entire coast of 5 Terre, with the Way of Love) with 'except Monterosso, which has a pebble beach. The sea, never equal to itself, so will vary from emerald green to cobalt blue more intense but will be characterized by clear water. The Gulf of La Spezia is the only natural fjord geologically recognizable in the Mediterranean, is flanked by the beautiful setting of the Alps and Apennines Ligure surrounded with the flowers for the entire year and its Mediterranean plant essences. Sea and Earth united in an eternal embrace, which man has adapted in a perfect symbiosis, a place of sea with its many different peoples made their own natural ability irreverent and courteous reception, with a disenchanted and sometimes mocking life. The mild climate, moderately windy offers even in winter unforgettable glimpses of harmonious sweetness, with the shatter of the waves on rocky coast and the people of his homeland with the still slow pace of the ebb and flow of the wave to mark the time of winter .
