Spring Break Softball Tournament

Our high schooler was playing in a high school softball tournament for Spring Break. The team chose to stay in Kiva Dunes, so we chose to do the same. The house was beautifully decorated and clean. Almost felt brand new! Our only concern was there were no window treatments on the balcony doors in any bedroom and in the master bathroom. Although the windows were tinted and blocked view in during the day, we did not feel we had adequate privacy at night. We could see curtain rods on some of the doors, just no curtains. Otherwise, the stay was wonderful and Amy was very responsive.

Here are our + and – about the house:

+ close to two pools + great location-quiet neighborhood + great balconies to enjoy your coffee in the morning (or a toddy 😊later) + 10 minutes walk to the private beach or free shuttle if you don’t want to walk + white sandy beach or pools not crowded at all + safe gated environment + Nice spacious living room / kitchen area + nice appliances and furniture + TVs in all the rooms (satellite) + owner very quick to respond + 3 nice bedrooms upstairs (large master suite and 2 smaller bedrooms with a shared bathroom) + nice linens + a large table to sit 8 and 4 bar stools + great family time - Key was under the mat but door was not locked - Not enough hangers in closets (1 or 2 at the most) - Lightbulbs needed - House renovation is NOT finished (material still in closets) - Not very clean - 1 bedroom + bath downstairs only good for kids or teenagers - Dishwasher is not attached.

Hot July Week

My family and I (total of 8) just got home from a wonderful week at Kiva Dunes! This home was absolutely perfect for our stay. It is VERY close to the pool and a pretty short walk to the beach, although we chose to use the free shuttle as it was extremely hot. The house had everything we needed for our stay. It was a very comfortable home, and the community was beautiful and overall safe. There are some homes being worked on and some being built so you do have construction noise and traffic, but it honestly didn't bother us. If you choose to use the free shuttle, please bring tips for the drivers. They are so nice! I recommend using the east beach access as it was an easy boardwalk to walk on (I am disabled and had no issues using this access, eventhough there are a few (4) stairs). Once on the beach at this access, there were NO crowds. It was so perfect! Thank you, Amy, for letting us rent your property! We very much enjoyed ourselves!
