The Bennett Suite has full-size beds in both bedrooms sleeping a total of four people. Bennett features a spacious and comfortable living room, an eclectic dining room, a gourmet fully-appointed chef's kitchen, two peaceful bedrooms, a period-correct, and historically renovated ultra-modern bathroom, a shared front porch with rocking chairs, and a private back porch. Come and enjoy the historic Bennett Suite of Inn on Westwood which is located in the heart of funky West Asheville. West Asheville is known for its hip, vintage, and laid-back vibe, with local restaurants serving up comfort food, music venues booking up-and-coming acts, and shops filled with yet-to-be-discovered treasures. All are very walkable and friendly.

This private vacation home listed on the National Register of Historic Places was built in the 1870s and converted into an Inn in 2014. Full of special touches, it features 13-foot ceilings, arched double doors, and beautiful crown molding. Rooms are spacious and filled with light from the grand, original floor-to-ceiling windows. Enjoy the private back porch with your morning coffee or watch the sunset over the mountains with an evening cocktail.

Amenities- โ€‹The home is fully stocked for your vacation needs with complimentary tea and coffee, red and white wine, beer, granola bars, chocolate, and a chef's kitchen ready for you to use. Enjoy plush towels, bathrobes, and our Aveda bath products. A hairdryer, make-up wipes, iron, ironing board, coat hangers, and wireless Internet are available.

Outdoors -Enjoy a game of cornhole or use the fire pit for roasting marshmallows on cool mountain evenings. The over one-acre grassy backyard is available for any outdoor activities you would like to enjoy.

We want you to enjoy your stay in Asheville, unplug, and unwind. Therefore, there are no TVs at the Inn but there is the ultimate high-speed wireless internet service.
House Rules - No smoking or vaping in the house. No TVs at the house so you can unwind and relax.

For the comfort of all guests staying in the Inn in either the Atkinson Suite or the Bennett Suite, quiet hours are observed between 10 pm and 7 am.

There is NO on-site laundry or daily cleaning services. For guests enjoying extended stays, we provide additional towels upon request.

Children are always welcome, but unfortunately, we cannot accept pets.

Interaction with Guests-We are always available for questions, recommendations, emergencies, etc. While each suite is completely separate and very private, be aware that this is an Inn, and unless you rent the entire house expect to hear some possible noise from other guests next door.

These are two completely separate units/suites, each having its own kitchens, dining rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, etc. The only shared portion is the large covered old-fashioned front porch.

The Neighborhood Inn is located in the thriving community of West Asheville. There are a dozen bars, breweries, coffee shops, farm-to-table restaurants, and cute and quirky shops all within walking distance. It is only two miles from downtown Asheville or South Slope and a half-mile from New Belgium Brewing in the River Arts District.

Looking for some pampering? De La Terre Skincare offers several treatments in its store near the River Arts District. Check out the local farmer's market or bike along the French Broad River Park's many paved paths. It is a very family-friendly neighborhood.

Getting Around - Asheville has a bus system, taxis, Uber, Lyft, sidewalks, and many bike racks to help you get around in your preferred style. The Inn has easy access to the interstate and local attractions.

Reserving Both Suites
If you're interested in reserving both the Atkinson Suite and Bennett Suite please state this in your inquiry. There are large ten-foot-tall arched double doors that we open so you and your guests may freely go between suites.

Historic home with modern touches
We really enjoyed staying in this piece of Asheville history. The location is quiet, and West Asheville is certainly trendy, albeit might not be everyoneโ€™s style. We enjoyed some of the local eateries, breweries and artisan shops. The only negative was having other renters in the adjoining unit the last night of our stay. They were nice folks, but itโ€™s really like youโ€™re all in the same room as far as hearing way more than you care to.

Great Place
Everything was lovely. Beautifully renovated and many high quality touches. Wish it had queen beds instead of full, otherwise it was great.

Didnโ€™t want to leave this beautiful home!
Our vacation just wasnโ€™t long enough! We were wowed by this historic home, before we even stepped inside - quiet neighborhood, private yard and front porch with rockers. We were welcomed with snacks and drinks - so nice after a long trip. This home was the perfect blend of historical charm and character, coupled with a new, modern kitchen and bath. The bedrooms and living rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed the restaurants and must-see recommendations. We will absolutely book this home again on our next trip to Asheville.

The owners, Rob and Caroline are locals and have completely fallen in love with West Asheville. They lovingly restore homes in this wonderful historic neighborhood.

Why they chose this property

Driving by this home day after day it spoke louder and louder to Rob and Caroline. After a short while, they bought the home and spent months of time researching to bring the home back to its original glory.

What makes this property unique

There's no doubt that the location is absolutely perfect for a vacation home and/or a place to call home here in Asheville. Unique features include 13 foot high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, 150-year-old hardwood floors, fireplace chimneys carefully restored and much more. All the preservations were made with the weaving in of all the modern amenities of the 21st century.
