Cozy, comfortable and a perfect place for a "girls" weekend away

  • 5 of 5

This house provided us with a clean, heated, nicely stocked retreat for friends to be together. Communication with the owner was excellent and the place provided the four of us with a cozy working fireplace, plenty of firewood, DVD's, games and lots of conversations and laughs.

You are close to Manchester and other villages. Look for hiking trails, excellent restaurants and shopping, all are close. If you want peace and solitude you don't need to leave this place.

We would go back to this place! It was that good!

Great Ski House for 2 Leggers and 4 Leggers

  • 5 of 5

My family, 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 doggies spent Christmas week 2010 skiing and enjoying a relaxing vacation at this rental home. We are avid renters and enjoyed staying at this rental home very much. I think my doggies had as much fun as us adults and kids. This home had a good size plot to play in and build snowmen. We spent comfortable evenings curled up by a very nice fireplace. My family spend New Years Eve skiing and New Years Day shopping in Manchester. All in all, it was a great vacation in a very comfortable and clean home. A great rental!

Great Foliage Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a great relaxing weekend at this house! The pictures dont do it justice. It is much bigger looking then the pictures would make you think, with a great family room for everyone to get together in and hang out. The huge stone fireplace was great for the cool evenings and we had a lot of fun picking the wild berries that grow along the driveway and visiting the organic farm next door. The house has a great yard for the children to play in that is surrounded by trees which are amazing in the fall! The house is located about 15 minutes from downtown Manchester which has some of the best shopping, Ralph Lauren, Dolce and Gabanna, and Banana Republic just to name a few!!! There are also great places to eat like the Equinox which has some of the best food I have ever tried. The Equinox also has the best golf course located just down the street from the house which is perfect for fall golfing and also has a great pro shop. This house is decorated with a bunch of great antiques which match the flavour of Vermont and the deck is perfect for early morning coffee and a newspaper looking across the valley with all the great fall colors. There was plenty of comfortable deck furniture for all. The beds were very nice and the house was very clean and smelled fresh! Highly recomended!

Warm and Welcoming

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house! We enjoyed our together time in the kitchen and living room, and when we retired to bed we felt that we had privacy.

The house was well located -- close to skiing and Manchester shopping. Finally, it was on a beautiful road. It was tucked away in the woods but there were pretty houses on the road as we drove to it.

I would certainly recommend this house.

We wished we could have stayed longer....

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for New Year's and wished we could have stayed longer!!! Wonderfully tranquil area, on a private road away from it all, yet close to historic Manchester. The house is very tastefully decorated and very clean. For the adventure seekers, there is lots to do ... from shopping downtown Manchester, to snowshoeing (great hiking trails surround the area) to skiing (ski slopes ~ 30 minutes away) to walking down the road to the friendly farm to pick up fresh eggs or smoked chicken breast. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this house!!!

Beautiful, Tranquil, a True Vermont Setting

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter and I spent the spring and summer at this great Vermont home. The deck is amazing... wonderful views, complete privacy, and really comfortable patio furniture. The house is very clean, decorated with tasteful antiques, cozy beds and living room sofa, lots of natural sunlight, and lovely views from each window. There are streams along the road, wild berry bushes, great hiking out your door and a peaceful organic farm down the road. There are several farmers markets 3 days a week where you can buy local produce, handcrafted cheeses, breads, desserts and local meats to make a fantastic meal in the very efficient kitchen...the kitchen even has amazing views as well! The house is close to town, only about a 15 minute drive to downtown Manchester. We had many fires in their huge stone fireplace (gets a bit cool on those spring nights). The Dorset area is charming, peaceful, scenic and a true country setting. We had a wonderful stay and wish the same for future Vermont travelers.
