Fijne week

French charm
We had the most wonderful week in Sos! The house was spacious, filled with everything one may desire while being in vacation ( the little welcome treats were delicious). Sos is conveniently located to so many other villages, each with its own charm and farmers market!!! Above all the people in Gascony are incredibly friendly ( we met a lot of locals during an evening forest walk followed by a nice communal dinner), the food and wine are tasty and the landscape - sunflower fields, vineyards, tree cathedrals- is oh, so bucolic! Don't hesitate, stay at Marion's house and you'll be treated with true French hospitality

About the host

My partner and I came to the Lot et Garonne region from Australia in 2007 to watch the World Cup Rugby. We stayed for 3 weeks and fell in love with the area, the food, wine, people, countryside. By the time we left we invested in a wonderful lifestyle - one that we enjoy sharing with family friends and potential friends.

Why they chose this property

This property grabbed us due to its location in the main place and the traditional aspects of its design, handcrafted wood fireplace, high ceilings, beautiful wood floor boards and gorgeous niches.

What makes this property unique

The area is a wonderful experience of rural France at its best, which has retained tradition, and history and is not a tourism haven.

Surrounded by sunflowers, duck farms, country Auberges, Vignerons - experience the flavours of Foi Gras, Canard, fromage, local wines and Armagnac .

Fresh produce on offer and one of the many markets in stunning villages or towns. You can experience a new market each day of the week.

July & August is time for the summer Fetes where you mingle with the locals and sample their fare.

Sos is host to Marche Noturnal each Wednesday evening from the second Wednesday in July to the second last Wednesday in August. Have an aperitif of Foi Gras & Floc, followed by magnet or Brouchette or a flavourful salad and a crepes with fresh strawberries and creme.

EXPERIENCE RURAL FRANCE AT ITS BEST!
