About this property

You are booking a guest room in our home (bed and breakfast). This is not a whole house/apartment rental. We are an American husband and Chinese wife. We are vaccinated. Our home is located on Puget Sound with extraordinary views of Commencement Bay, Vashon and Maury Islands. Browns Point Lighthouse Park is just a few minutes away. Other local attractions are Dash Point State Park, Redondo waterfront community, Point Defiance Park & Zoo, and the Point Ruston waterfront community.

The Queen Bedroom is located on the upper floor. Guests have exclusive access to the bathroom, which has a double sink/vanity and shower with three shower heads (one rainshower head), and body jets.

The pool is open June 1 - September 30. The spa/jacuzzi can heated on demand all year. It may take up to 90 minutes to come up to temp, depending on the weather. There is a 10PM curfew for all shared spaces (spa/jacuzzi, gym and theatre room).

Great Place! Great Hosts!! Not like the others

Steve and Li are very kind and considerate hosts. They welcomed us into their home to stay in a spare room. This was the original idea of renting a room in someone's home instead of the entire home and they make it work well! The room was nice, bed was comfy, but the shower is the shining star - water from all angles! We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again! Thanks for having us!

The very best!

Absolutely everything was wonderful. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The room very comfortable. The view from the patios are breathtaking. All around a simply perfect stay. Will go back.

Beautiful home!

Thank you for hosting! The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood but yet very convenient to everything. We had wonderful stay. Steve and Li are warm and considerate host.

About the host

Hosted by Steve & Li

We are an American husband and Chinese wife, very social and outgoing. Steve grew up in the area and has lived here his whole life. Li lived most of her life in Chengdu, Sichuan, China and emigrated here in 2013 and became a U.S. citizen. We love to cook, so our home will often be filled with aromas of Chinese, Thai, Italian, French, Indian and American dishes.

Why they chose this property

As soon as you come over the hill to our neighborhood and see the view, you'll understand why we bought our home. The private pool, whirlpool spa, theater room and outdoor spaces were added bonuses.

What makes this property unique

Although we live in the city of Tacoma, the neighborhood is exceptionally quiet. And yet, there is easy access to all the trappings of a city: dining, theater, museums, nightlife and so on. Seattle, with even more, is just 40 minutes away.
