Step inside to discover the naturally lit interior featuring an open floor concept, wealth of windows and cozy mountain-themed decor. This homey abode is stocked for families, including a pack-n-play, high chair, and in-unit laundry machines.

Begin each day by sipping a steaming cup of coffee on the upper deck revealing serene views of the Fraser River. As your travel companions wake, cook a hearty breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen to savor at the quaint breakfast nook. Stainless steel appliances and granite countertops truly make cooking a breeze!

Leisurely days are best spent enjoying the various community amenities of Edgewater right outside your door. Lounge by the seasonal community pool and hot tub, teach your kids to fly fish in one of 4 stocked ponds, spend the evening with the kids down by river or take them to the playground to romp around! The property also offers paddle boating for free during the summer months.

When you return home, fire up the gas grill to enjoy a delicious barbecue meal around the fire pit. As the sun sets, stroll along the Fraser River or head inside for family movie night in front of the gas fireplace. The flat-screen cable/Smart TV includes Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and other streaming capabilities.

Guest access
You will have access to the cabin, private fly fishing on the Fraser River, the Edgewater Community and all Grand County has to offer.

In the summertime you will find toddler fishing poles and several construction trucks to dig in the sand.

If you prefer to spend time inside, will find dozens of games to play for all ages. We have a toy box stocked with toddler toys and you'll find coloring books and even a LEGO set to keep you busy.

If you're brining a little tot in tow, we have a pack and play, a highchair, a booster seat, a toddler hiking backpack and two baby gates to make your packing easier.

Grandby Cottage

We love this place ❤️

Such a special stay at this home. We are always sad to leave. Such a comfortable, clean and cozy place to stay. We love fishing with our kids, eating dinners on the back porch and exploring all the fun adventures near by. The cabin is always so well stocked and clean. Can't wait to visit again next year!

Perfect cabin

We could not have asked for a better location for our Rocky Mountain getaway. This cabin is amazing. The decks (yes, 2) overlooking the river were so peaceful and relaxing - perfect for morning coffee or evening s’mores. The cabin is equipped with EVERYTHING. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms - all perfectly stocked. If you have a little one, tons of books and toys, as well as swimming gear. If I could give a higher rating than 5, this would have it. Only regret, our trip could have been longer. Thanks, Melany!

Warm and cozy cabin

Cabin was very clean and welcoming, the owner was very accommodating sending us a list nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and recommended activities, which we ultimately used. Cabin had very special touches such as family games, TV had pre logined streaming accounts, and books for children. Pantry was well stocked and everything we've needed for the most part was supplied, including tolietries. We really felt at home. The view is spectacular. Highly recommend and we would love to come again. Only downside was not lot of a closet space to store clothing or jackets but they did supply a lot of extra blankets, pillows, towels and bedding. We also saw a pack and play stored in one of the closet, very family friendly!

About the host

We are a family of four who live in Denver. It has been our dream to have a place to escape to explore the mountains and living this now has been an amazing experience. We spend our time hiking, boating, paddle-boarding and lounging by the river in the summer. In the winter, we are teaching our 5 and 7 year old how to ski and enjoy all things the winters of CO have to offer.

Why they chose this property

The cabin was in the perfect setting for our young family. We can spend all day on site and never need to leave. The river, ponds, playground and pool offer great entertainment. The location near two ski resorts and the lakes close by meant we could use our cabin year round. There is always an adventure to be had.

What makes this property unique

This property offers a very quaint experience on the river. You will have access to private fly fishing right out your door. It is a very family friendly neighborhood. We often see a bald eagle in the summer soaring through the area and have also spotted 3 moose in the area.
