Guestbook comments from the owner

Over our winter break some of my college

buddies and I stayed at two bears lodge.

Everything about the home is nice, the

beds are like laying on pillows, the hot

tub is awesome after a long day of

skiing and the views are outstanding. I

would recommend two bears lodge to

anyone one from Family's to college

students because no matter what age you

are you're going to love two bears

lodge. If you are booking this lodge

with friends make sure you get their

first and snag the loft with the king

bed, you're not going to want to miss

the loft views.

Thanks rich for letting us stay here it

was an incredible trip.

2nd stay

  • 5 of 5

Well this was our second year and the house was just as nice as last year. We are 8 adults and 4 children and while the adults were watching tv and relaxing upstairs the kids were downstairs playing wii

I would reccomend this house to anyone clean and cozy!!!!

Waking up to the mountain views and then the watching the sun go down was just sooo nice!!!!

Rich is a pleasure to deal with and very easy to reach at any time.

So if you are thinking you want to rent this house dont just rent it!!!

My group just loves it!!

Thanks Again Rich!!!!

Awesome experience!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and a group of our friends spent a long weekend here. House was perfect. Very private, slept 8 people (more than) comfortably, had pretty much everything you needed cooking wise, and was only about a half hour from Sunday River. Owner is very nice and easy to communicate with. Would give more stars if I could, can't wait to stay again!

We loved our castle on the hill

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for sharing your incredible home with us and allowing our family a weekend of special memories we will treasure forever. Our four grown children and significant others joined us to celebrate a belated Christmas. We had looked forward to skiing, skating, walking in the snow, and a sleigh ride provided by a local barn. Mother Nature played a cruel trick on us, providing a weekend that began with exceptionally warm weather and heavy rain along with a fog that engulfed the house and cut us off from the rest of the world. While this could have proven disappointing our incredible accommodations provided us a place of refuge, relaxation, and enjoyment. We played games, reminisced, sat by the fire and even found time for a few Wii game challenges. The well equipped kitchen allowed us the ability to indulge in several leisurely meals. When the rain stopped we prepared to venture into town, only to find a flash freeze had occurred and our "castle on the hill" now had a moat of ice. A call to Rich and within minutes- and I'm not exaggerating here- a sand truck arrived and we were soon able to venture into town for a fun afternoon of shopping and exploring. I must also mention that throughout the entire trip Rich was attentive and helpful and never made us feel as if we were inconveniencing him with any question that arose, no matter how small or trivial. After our stroll through the lovely town of Bethel, we attended mass at Our Lady of the Snows where you can believe we prayed for snow. I must say that everywhere we went the members of the Bethel community made us feel welcome and at home. While our prays for some of the white stuff were not immediately answered we were pleased to find there were still a few trails left open at Black Mountain for us to enjoy and we had an amazing day skiing on one of the nicest mountains in Maine where we were greeted by staff that literally made us feel like family. It was a great experience. Our trip to Two Bears Lodge is one we will long remember and we hope to be able to return soon. Thank you Rich.

Amazing views & beautiful home!.... Thank you Rich!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful, relaxing trip! This property has amazing views of the mountains, trees and the stars. Everywhere you look, you see the beautiful colors of Fall. It is very quiet here and a lot to do nearby. We were so lucky to get very nice weather. The hot tub was so relaxing, while gazing at the bright stars in the sky. My husband and I went with 2 of his sisters and their husbands'. We had so much fun talking & playing games next to the fireplace. We drove to see Screw Auger Falls and went to Main Street in Bethel. We would love to return! The only minor cons were the ripped screens on the porch, one of the remotes and the 2 pretty, battery operated lights on the table needed batteries. We did find one battery in the house. We bought some at the store and replaced them. It would be nice to have a tv channel guide and maybe directions for the remotes. The ice maker works, but the ice dispensor doesn't. Also, I recommend bringing your own patio chairs. We brought 6 with us and never used their 2. They were dirty and 1 was cracked. The rest of the house was very clean and decorated nicely. What a great trip!
