Newly decorated spacious studio in quiet street perfectly located for West End

This studio flat would suit a single or couple. It has its own entrance from the street, but is part of a large private house. It is quiet and brilliantly located for the park, shopping and sightseeing. The flat is maintained to a very high standard and has been newly refurbished and decorated. It has a large double bed (king size) with new mattress and feather pillows. New 100% cotton sheets. There is a clothes washer and dryer. Separate kitchen (separate room) with microwave, cooker, coffee maker (nespresso) etc. The Studio room has lots of cupboard space, a TV, WIFI and a small sofa. There is a small shower off the bedroom and between the bedroom and kitchen there is a small table for eating. This is a really sweet studio and it isn't that small. It is warm with underfloor heating. There are all mod cons and up to date guide books for your use.

About Ann

This home is owned by an English family who live in the building but have a separate entrance. We have two grown up children. We have restored the building to a high standard and are one of the few remaining original houses in the area.

This is a really beautiful house of grand proportions and lovingly restored. The area is just wonderful and we really love living here. It is both quiet and vibrant and centrally located plus perfect for the park.

It is quiet and self contained and excellently located for transport, park and sightseeing. Close to supermarkets and restaurants. The flat is spotlessly clean and new with modern amenities, such as clothes washer, cooker and underfloor heating.

Fantastic flat for two people

This flat is perfect for two people and is located in a safe, easily assessable neighborhood. You feel like a real Londoner instead of a tourist. The host family is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants and grocery options are within a few blocks. Paddington Station, with access to Heathrow Express and Great Western Railway, is a 12-minute walk. It's a 30-minute walk to Marble Arch Tube station and entrance to Oxford Street shopping. We easily walked to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. One of the best things about this flat was the large map of London streets on the wall. Each morning I took a quick picture of the areas where we would walk/sightsee for the day. It made navigating streets so much easier. Definitely recommend this flat and look forward to another visit.

Another Wonderful Stay

This was our second extended stay at this property, and we were just as pleased as we were with the first. The cleanliness and comfort of the property makes it easy to settle in and be ready to explore London and its surrounds. Ann Marie is a pleasure to work with in every way. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Perfect location, safe, quiet neighborhood

Had a wonderful stay at Anns place! 5 minute walk to Hyde Park and 5 minute walk to Bayswater tube stop. Non-touristy area with great selection of restaurants and shops. 15 minute walk from Heathrow Express. The flat is clean with a super comfy bed which is great after a long day of London sightseeing. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Fresh flowers were a nice touch! Highly recommend. Will definitely re-book when returning to London!

Very nice for what we wanted. Away from the busy areas of London but very convenient.

Nicely maintained and great access to buses, tube stations and Paddington trains (Heathrow Express). Close to Kensington Gardens for pleasant walks too. Quiet neighborhood. Very nice hosts. Recommend highly. Definetly stay again when we go back to London.

Ann has thought of everything!

Ann's flat was everything we hoped. The flat is lovely with high quality appliances, shower with good water pressure, super comfy bed and pillows, adequate seating and desk space, an abundance of local resources and information, and a fully outfitted kitchen. Location was convenient to bus, Tube, basic shopping needs and Hyde Park/Kensington gardens, with a good local pub just down the road. Ann and Ivo were perfect hosts, warm and hospitable, always available, but never intrusive. The entire experience was delightful. Thank you, Ann and Ivo. We hope to return!

Great little rental for couple

We really enjoyed our stay in this flat! It was slightly off the main beaten path, but close to major underground stations and a street full of restaurants and little stores. We were able to walk to the underground station and take a quick ride to catch the express train to Gatwick airport, with no trouble at all. It's a bit of an underground ride to the main attractions of London, but it was nice coming back to this flat at the end of our day!

The flat itself was very clean and well-stocked. We were able to catch up on laundry while we were there, which made it a perfect stop in the middle of our holiday. There was plenty of kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, and toiletries available. They also provided guidebooks and their own personal recommendations, which we always appreciate!

It was wonderful to have such a big bedroom with such a big bed! It made falling asleep a lot easier. The bathroom and kitchen were quite small, but we made it work!

It was a little noisy sometimes. You could hear people talking, phones ringing, people answering phones, etc. (maybe even a dog running around?) from through the walls and ceiling. There is also a decent amount of road traffic as well. However, all the noises generally stopped by bedtime, so we weren't that bothered by it!

Generally, we felt very safe and comfortable here. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others!

Owner's Response: I am a little disappointed in this review. This flat is situated bang in Central London, next to Kensington Gardens. London is a huge city and there are a vast amount of sites to see, some close by and others further away. I can only apologise for any noise, we are pretty quiet generally as our children are all at uni - some times on warm summer evenings people sit outside on the street - its a rare thing!

Car: not necessary

This flat is located in between Lancaster Gate and Bayswater. 1 minute from Kensington Gardens. The street is quiet and safe, but the area is vibrant and fun, with shops, bars and restaurants nearby. It is close to all public transport (tubes & buses) so for a base it is excellent. Oxford Street is just 4 minutes by bus, Kensington Gardens 1 minute walk from the front door and it's a 5 minutes bus ride to Portobello Road Market. Round the corner is Whiteleys Department Store, which has lots of shops cinemas and restaurants. Queensway is a few minutes walk away & is full of ethnic restaurants and great fun. It is in a brilliant location for sightseeing as well as shopping and eating. Paddington Station is 5 minutes walk from the flat making it very easy to get to from from Heathrow airport - you take the Heathrow Express from Heathrow to Paddington, which takes 15 minutes.
