The Cottage at historic Willow Creek Ranch is a spacious one bedroom home filled with beautiful antiques and flowers, nestled in 160
acres of fir, pine and pepper trees, mountains, trails and wildlife. Secluded and private, the Ranch is minutes away from Ventura, Ojai, and the charming small town of Santa Paula.

Cross the wooden bridge over the creek and leave the city behind , knowing it’s minutes away from great dining, beaches, whale watching, kayaking, golf, sport fishing, shopping and wineries.

The cottage has large French doors that open to a terraced tree fillled area in the front, and a pool in the back, off the bedroom. Luxury touches, from fresh flowers to pure flax sheets and Nespresso coffee, make it feel more like a private retreat.

Relax poolside, hike to scenic overviews on nature trails, pick fresh fruit in season and picnic overlooking the mountains of Ojai.

Fires in the large stone fireplace or the Santa Maria grill can be arranged.

Delighted with our stay

Needed a place to spend precious time with my son and grand-children who live far away. Our hosts provided us with a home away from home, but mainly a place of peace and closeness to nature. My 9 year old grandson felt he learnt a lot about all the animals around, as well as other aspects of life on a ranch, and that he said "even though he was on vacation". As a grand-mother, this was music to my ears. Host responds to all our requests and questions. The place is clean and exactly as it portrays itself.

Lovely stay

I had a lovely stay! The hosts are just wonderful and their hospitality was top notch. I was looking for a quiet peaceful getaway and the ranch cottage was the prefect spot. Highly recommended!

Willow Creek Ranch

The property is lovely - located in a rural area and canyon, so quiet and relaxing. The cabin is cute, we’ll-equipped and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and responsive to questions and needs. We loved seeing the trainers working with the beautiful horses. It is convenient to Santa Barbara, Ojai and Ventura and we visited each, but loved returning to the ranch afterwards.

Truly special!!!

The views are spectacular, the horses, goats, and chickens were endearing and gorgeous. The hosts were exceptional people, very thoughtful, warm, and generous with their attentiveness and stories. It was a wonderful place to relax, to have time to paint the scenery, read, take walks, and watch the horses being trained. The quiet was a balm. The hot tub hit the spot for some of the cold evenings during December. I would love to bring my family there for a gathering in the summer months to enjoy the pool.

Absolute Delight

This ranch is exquisite, from the hosts to the animals. My children loved feeding the chickens, taking the goats out to graze, and even leading and feeding horses. The accommodations were comfortable and very clean! At night, we enjoyed a bonfire and were serenaded by coyotes and owls. Thank you so much for such a lovely vacation.

This is a unique opportunity to relax in over a hundred acres of wildlife, just minutes from Ventura, Ojai, and Santa Paula. We offer rustic luxury and all the support for quick getaways to extended retreats. On site owners are responsive and helpful.

What makes this property unique

As soon as you cross the wooden bridge you’ll hear the birds, and feel the tranquility that makes everyone fall in love with the Ranch. Settled in the early 1900s by a walnut and apricot farmer, some of the original buildings are still in use. The canyon is alive with wildlife and depending on the season you visit you may see quail, deer, barn owls, hawks , coyotes and bobcats.
