Just ideal accommodation for Goodwood and Chichester, North Mundham House Studio has a wonderful contemporary feel
Called the Studio, this is an interesting space and certainly contemporary, offering excellent accommodation for two people. The Studio is bright and airy with large double doors that open onto its own patio and garden area. The roof windows also give much light but don't worry, blinds close at night to make the whole space warm and cosy!
Although one large space the mezzanine bedroom is discreetly separated while giving an interesting aspect on to the living space below. The Studio is intended for two although it has been furnished to make a comfortable base as if designed for several friends, with a large dining table and corner sofa it provides much room to spread and relax. You are certainly not pressed for space here!
The bedroom is fitted with twin beds that can be put together to form a 5' king sized double, or made up apart as two small 2' 6" singles depending on guest requirements. It is recommended that 2' 6" single beds are better suited to children than to adults. Downstairs there is a modern shower room while the property is heated via under floor heating.
Guests have shared use of a heated swimming pool from May to September as well as use of a tennis court. Both the pool and tennis court are shared with North Mundham House Cottage which sits discreetly across the pool.
North Mundham and beyond
The North Mundham House Studio is perfect for both Chichester and Goodwood events being just two miles outside the city centre. Located to the south east it is three miles north of Pagham Harbour and also close to Chichester Harbour.
This part of the coastline is a haven for unusual birds and wildlife, with Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve and Chichester Harbour both being areas of outstanding natural beauty. If you are feeling energetic the walk south to Pagham offers wonderful countryside views and much tranquility.
Pagham Harbour is an internationally important site for nature conservation while Chichester Harbour also combines its wildlife attractions with sailing centres such as Itchenor, Bosham, Dell Quay and Emsworth. Between these harbours there are beaches at Selsey and the Witterings, the latter offering unrivalled views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.
Chichester is the cathedral city of Sussex. It has played a key role in the affairs of Sussex since at least Roman times. The city has broad streets that are packed with listed buildings, headed by the towering presence of the cathedral.
The city centre is neatly enclosed within the ancient city walls, which helps to make Chichester compact and pleasant to explore on foot. It is a cosmopolitan, vibrant and friendly city proudly combining two thousand years of heritage with a lively lifestyle. A trip to the Chichester Festival Theatre close to the centre is worth considering since it is famous for the quality of theatre production, many of which premiere here before moving on to the London theatre scene. For the film buff the cinema complex and nearby restaurants to the south of the city also make for an enjoyable evening out.
Across Sussex there is always much to see and do, a lot is so easily accessible from here so staying at North Mundham Studio gives the best of both; beaches close by and an easy springboard back inland to explore the South Downs or for visiting the very popular Goodwood events.
