Quiet, view cabin, studio w/loft bedroom, 1 Bath, Dogs ok w/small pet fee
I moved to Paradise Valley almost twenty years ago for the closeness to nature, and small town friendliness and to live a bit more simply. I met my husband, Gary, at age 39, and married a few years later. And through him, I discovered a new talent in myself with art. We purchased an old log bar/apartment and added a 1800 square foot art gallery and frame shop. Gary is a painter and framer and we are lucky to feature so many friends fine art and crafts. We feel like we are on vacation every day looking at the constantly changing light on the mountains and wildlife in our area with our two Shihtzu's, Kopi and Jessie, our deer-headed chihuahua, Gabe (an angel in disguise), and Buford, our orange cat, a gentle warrior. My mother and brother have moved here from Seattle and are enjoying the sunny skies, mountains and wildlife of the area too.
Vicky purchased this Cabin in 2004
Why Vicky chose Livingston
Location is ideal, quiet but close to Livingston, fishing streams and river, intimate view of mountains, close to Yellowstone Park and a few miles from Chico Hot Springs, a favorite for locals and travellers alike!
What makes this Cabin unique
Views of wildlife, mule deer, red foxes, elk, eagles, red-tail hawks and many other birds. The changing light on the mountains, the sunsets, views of approaching storms, quiet and star lit skies are a constant reminder of the miracle of life! We are grateful. We hope that sharing this special spot with you will be a lasting gift for you.

Paradise in the Valley
The cabin was nice and cozy, had everything we needed. I had forgotten a few things, but no worries, the cabin was well supplied. Vicky was so nice, and had left us a plate of chocolate chip cookies with a special ingredient! We filled up the bird bath outside the back of the cabin and enjoyed watching the bluebirds and robins take a bath every evening. The hike up to Pine Creek Falls was well worth it. Hope to come again!
It was an excellent stay..felt like we were at home only better. Had everything you could need and more. Home owner and family friendly helpful and informative. Could write all good things for a week. Cant wait to stay again.
Our stay at this little cabin was great! We enjoyed the quaintness of the area! It was our first trip to Montana, but definitely won't be our last!
Glad you enjoyed Montana! Love to have you back anytime! Every season has a different kind of magic! Thank you for staying with us!
A big view from a little house !
Location between Livingston & Chico gave us many opportunities to explore the area. Our hosts provided great information about the area which was really helpful. The house is small but very well equipped and woeked out well for us.
Spent most of our time in Yellowstone, but wish we could have spent more of it at this amazing cabin.
Love this cabin!
We stayed at the Dexter Peak cabin for 6 nights and it was heaven. Cookies on the table waiting for us. We traveled to Yellowstone for 4 of those days, as it was less than an hour away. We were unable to enjoy the fire pit, as it rained pretty much every day, but Vickie was so helpful with tips of where to go in Helena and Butte. Cabin was warm and cozy, as it went to 30’s at night. Everything you could possibly need, so artfully put together, was a pleasure to stay. Restaurants in the area were great, particularly the Yellowstone Grill in Livingston.
Dog-sledding, horseback riding, hiking to a waterfall, soak in hot springs, fish, wildlife viewing, more fishing, see Montana arts and crafts at Shining Mountain Gallery in Pray, bird watch, parasail at Dailey Lake, hunt morel mushrooms, float the river, connect with your spirit!
