We booked the 3rd floor apartment in spring 2023. The owner, Alain Gregoire, addied a comfortable chair in the livingroom upon my request. The apartment is large for French standards with an adequate kitchen, 3 bedrooms, a newly renovated bathroom with two sinks. A separated toilet is convenient when several persons use it. The toilet seat could be replaced; it seems to be too short. All beds are comfortable. The master bedroom is above the one-way street which can be busy in early morning and late afternoon, however, when the window is closed, it is quiet. The other bedrooms are at the back, facing Cathedrale St. Jean Baptiste whose bells chime the hour and give a concert on Sundays. Shopping for groceries is easy. Restaurants are everywhere on each side of the Saôme/ Rhone rivers. The Museum, Opera, City Hall, or shopping on rue de la Republic, and many other places of interest, are in walking distance. The Metro is nearby and fast. Taxi costs 76 to 80 Euro to Airport depending on the traffic. It is a 40 minute drive. The Paul Bocuse market is worth visiting for its grandeur, however, the food is rather expensive. Restaurants we used and can recommend are:
"Les Adrets", "Bistro de Lyon", "Les Bouchons Lyonnais", "La Meunière". To visit a former bordello and dine in the splendour of old time deco, visit "La Nef des Fous" it's charme is original ... check-out the toilet, it's low ,,, people were short, then. Numbe One buchon, "Le Musee", costs 30% more than other buchons!
