3 bedroom dog friendly holiday bungalow in spacious garden - with hot tub

Located on the road to Rothiemurchas and the Cairngorm Mountain Delmhor 1 & Delmhor 3 are newly build holiday homes furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The holiday home offers guests a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre yet is still within walking distance (2 miles) for guests who prefer not to drive, cycle or take a taxi to and from the town centre.

Both holiday homes have their own hot tub for those relaxing day or evenings at any time of year and the Hilton Hotel at Colyumbridge is just along the road where there is a restaurant, bar and spa facilities.

All rooms are on the same level. Delmhor 1 is a detached house.

Lounge/Kitchen/Diner – open plan living area.

Lounge – 3 seat settee, 2 seat settee and reclining chair. Large flat screen TV with Freesat channels. Coffee table.

Kitchen – modern kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils.

Dining area – table and chairs to seat 6.

Master bedroom – Double bed, bedside cabinets, built in wardrobes, en suite shower room.

Second bedroom – Double bed, bedside cabinets, built in wardrobe.

Third bedroom – Twin beds, built in wardrobe.

Family bathroom – bath with shower, wash hand basin, toilet.

Outside – front and back garden gardens have grass with patio area in back garden. There is a covered veranda at the front of the house with table and chairs for 4. There is a hot tub in the back garden and a lockable shed for guest use with washing machine and tumble drier. This space can be used for drying outdoor clothing and for storing outdoor equipment.

There is a private driveway suitable for parking 2 cars.

The house is in a small cul-de-sac with no through traffic.

The house is heated throughout by central heating and there is an electric water heating system.

Wi-fi is provided at no extra cost.

All bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the price. The holiday home is stocked with a starter supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls and other kitchen and bathroom supplies.

A deposit of 25% of the total tariff is requested in advance. The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday (or by arrangement for short notice bookings).

Security deposit: an amount of £100 will be pre-authorised against the card you pay your final balance 10 days prior to arrival. This will reduce your available balance on your card by £100 for 30 days.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional cost of £25 per dog (small or medium sized dogs only please).

No smoking is permitted within the holiday home.

Due to the Cairngorm National Park being in a rural area, mobile phone coverage can be intermittent and dependant on your network carrier.

Travel cot & high chair available at no extra charge - please bring your own blankets.

Family winter break

Having previously stayed at Delmhor No.3, we knew what to expect and we weren’t disappointed! Great location, close to many stunning walks which we all enjoyed thoroughly, especially the dogs. The lodge is finished to a high standard, plenty parking space, massive garden which is fully enclosed (another bonus for the dogs) and the hot tub is something to look forward to at the end of the day to ease the aches and pains. Will definitely return. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Relaxing break in lovely property

Lovely property but could do with mirrors in other bedrooms as there is only a mirror in the main bedroom. There was a broken towel hook in the ensuite bathroom so couldnt hang towels up bedding in all rooms is very tired .Bracket broke on the hot tub lid but was very quick in getting fixed .

Great location and house

House is in a great location and has good facilities let down by a couple of things. The bedding was a bit tired, in the second double room the duvet cover was ripped down the seam and one of the pillows was badly stained.

When we arrived three of the door stops in the house were lying on the floor unattached - my husband fixed all three in under ten minutes.

There was no cork screw - I bought one and have left it.

Generally the cleanliness was good with the exception of two points - the rug in the living room - over the duration of our stay we found six smarties in it yet we never had smarties. And as you went out the back door there were three used plasters lying (obviously someone had taken them off enroute to the hot tub and didn’t think to put them in the bin!!!)

Nice stay - great location

We travelled to Aviemore and stayed at Delmhor No 1 in October 2017. The pre-information from Gael Holiday Homes was great and they were very quick at getting back to any queries.

We frequently travel to Aviemore and really enjoyed staying in this property with our dog. The living area is very spacious and the house overall is nice and modern. The flooring could do with being looked at as it creaks something awful when anyone walks on it so no one can move about without everyone knowing.

The area is really accessible for walks and the hot tub is lovely to relax in and we used it every evening.

We would return and like to stay again when we next return to Aviemore.

Car: necessary

From the south turn off the A9 when signposted and take the B9152 toward Aviemore. Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout toward Coylumbridge B970. Continue past the Rothiemuchas Centre. Continue passed Delmhor (yellow sign) and take the next left 100 metres along. Follow the cul-de-sac round to the left and No1 is the last property on the right.
