Where to start... the hosts were EXCELLENT and answered all of our questions and needs quickly.. they even had several binders of information on the home and local area waiting for us when we arrived.. notes on the home (sat/tv, fireplace, etc.) were all around to keep the questions to a minimum.. this was great to review once we got there.. the house was immaculate and everything was depicted as shown in the pictures.. but the pictures do not do it justice.. the home boasted a huge amount of space for the eight adults in our party to spread out in.. but it could support more.. well stocked with all the items we needed so we only had to bring food.. board games, movies, sat/TV, and wired internet connection were all available.. the fireplace was great to relax by in the evening.. a fun fire pit to hang out around.. a huge kitchen, table area and new gas grill to help get meals out.. a great dock to fish by (or dock your own boat) and the fishing was good.. or watch the sunset.. plenty of space in the back and front yard.. nice screen porch.. very quiet in the evenings.. a good necessity store close by (LL Cote, a must stop in the north country) if something was forgotten.. Grafton Notch State Park nearby for extremely novice walks to pretty sites.. if you are looking for a summer/fall spot by the lake in the wilds of the north country.. I couldn't recommend higher.. we will be coming back!!
My family and I stayed at the Umbabgog Lake House the week of Aug 20th and had a wonderful time. As a frequent traveller, this was one of the few times where the pictures of the house on this website exceeded our best expectations. The house is BEAUTIFUL. Being right on the water, we enjoyed catching fish off the dock, wonderful sunsets and complete peace and quiet. Can't wait to get back...thank you for haring your home with us.
This house was great it was clean and had everything we needed, a beautiful home. You can explore the area or just relax and take in the views from the deck or the dock. We did alot of kayaking, fishing and some hikes in Grafton notch park (about ten min. away) really nice area. Can't forget the moose we saw 9 moose including a mom and calf down the road.
Thanks for sharing your home we had a really good time.
This place was great--really set up for families to be together and to relax. We saw 18 moose in the area, many o.n the road close to the house.
Highly recommend this place!
