Set on a 2 hectare property next door to the owner's house , it has its own large South facing terrace, table and chairs , sun umbrellas and BBQ facilities. Your views look down to a large water feature , forests and far distant mountains . Please note : There is NO SWIMMING in the water feature
The price of an additional person (more than 2) is 10 euros per night or 50 euro per week.
The Cottage layout :
Upstairs : 1 large double bedroom and huge bathroom with shower , washbasin and toilet
Downstairs:, huge open plan modern kitchen/dining room, living room which can be converted into an additional bedroom, a laundry and a downstairs toilet.
Equidistant between Charolles and Cluny , and 30 kilometers from the wine regions of Vire Clesse , Pouilly Fuise and the Beaujolais hills . There are prehistoric caves at Aze and at Bergeserin (10 ks) an adventure park for the brave at heart. Walking is the most popular passtime in the area with hundreds of kilometers of tracks in forests and tiny country lanes.
Fishing is another activity keenly supported by the local community.
Maps and permits are easy to obtain at the local mairie. If you want history , the Chateau of Cormatin is only 20 minutes drive away with it's medieval kitchen gardens and 16th century interiors it is a 'must see' in the area. The tourist office at Cluny has a list of Chateaux to visit in the area. Cluny itself is a lively town with the remains of the largest church in Christendom still very evident in the main square.
