In Southern Oman, in this area of outstanding natural beauty, the villas are situated ted directly on a pristine white sand beach that stretches for kilometers. Both villas have walled gardens with ample patio and terrace for outdoor dining and/or barbecuing. Villa 5 is little more spacious than Villa 2 but the accommodation is the same.
There are 3 spacious double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and balconies overlooking the beach and ocean. The 4th bedroom is fitted with bunk beds and ideally suited to young children but also benefits from having its own shower room.
There is a fully equipped modern kitchen with a dining area leading on to a comfortable lounge and sliding doors leading to a covered outdoor patio area equipped for dining, barbecuing and relaxing.
Air conditioning, satellite TV and WiFi are installed.
The Beach Villas are within very short walking distance of the Rotana 5 Star Resort and our clients are free to enjoy their swimming pools and beach facilities free of charge. We also offer our guests a special Salalah Rotana discount card for their use in the restaurants and bars of this 5 Star Resort.
Slightly further along the beach is the Juweira Boutique Hotel with two swimming pools and a private beach area which may also be enjoyed by our clients.
Close to the Juweira Boutique Hotel is a new Marina from where Dolphin Watching and Fishing Trips may be organized. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance.
We have lived for many years in Kuwait and travelled quite extensively east. Oman and the Salalah area in particular, captured our imagination and has proved unique in many ways!
Suzanne Hunter & The Beach Villa Team purchased this villa in 2015
We had been visiting Oman for numerous years , enjoying the friendly Omanis, the superb weather, the tropical fruit grown locally, the amazing scenery, the fishing etc etc! When we saw the plans for the resort, and learnt of the new Salalah airport, we decided to purchase the villa.
Oman is renown throughout the Middle East for its natural unspoiled beauty and friendly hospitable people, there remain few places that compare.
The beautiful beaches of white sand are a haven to sunbathers, swimmers, sea lovers and walkers. The clear turquoise waters are filled with abundant marine life making fishing and scuba diving excellent activities. To wake in the morning and open the bedroom doors of the villa, to the view and sound of the sea or to take breakfast on the terrace outside, is a joy!
Oman is so diverse and the area of Dhofar, of which Salalah is the capital, so special and well worth a visit!
The best way to describe this villa is a home. It was immaculately finished with all of the homely touches you would expect e.g. pictures/paintings, deep pile rugs, etc. with a private rear garden and its own access to the beach. It also included all of the necessities such as fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine with complementary water and fruit provided. The beds, linen and towels were all perfect. As it's a new villa there were some minor issues, however this was addressed immediately. As luck would have it the owners were living nearby. They were a pleasure and very helpful during our stay.
The area is relatively new so at the time of our stay there were no real shops to speak of. We would recommend getting all of your food, etc. in Salalah, e.g. LULU or Carrefour as the shop near the villa (10-15 minute walk) is over-priced and very limited in stock. The Island Bar/Restaurant in the Marina area (10-15 minute walk) is also worth a visit and a nice place to chill out in the evening with a nice cooling sea breeze on the decking.
The only real downside was that the staff of the Rotana Hotel were not aware of the villa and the benefits of the Rotana discount card, thus made using some of the facilities in the hotel frustrating at times.
All-in-all our experience, privacy and freedom that the villa provided was just what we needed travelling with 2 adults and 3 girls under 7. It would also probably accommodate 2 smaller families comfortably.
Despite the fact that Salalah, Southern Oman, lies close to the Arabian Desert, it has a pleasant climate throughout most of the year. In the summer months, it receives 'the tail end' of the South-East monsoons thus creating lush green vegetation.
Salalah is know as the perfume capital of Arabia due to its long involvement in the Frankincense Trade. Khor Rori, an Archaeological Site in an extremely scenic setting, dating back to the Silk Road era, is not far away and well worth a visit.
