About Lori Brown
Over the last 20 years, my husband and I have vacationed many places. Our vacations always seem to revolve around the outdoors and water. Scuba diving, boating, fishing, skiing, ect. We now have children and a dog to vacation with and Bear Lake is perfect for them, too.
Lori Brown purchased this Condo in 2007
Why Lori Brown chose Bear Lake Reserve
We first experienced Bear Lake when it was just an idea and wilderness. We fell in love with the unspoiled beauty of the clear mountain water and rock cliffs above the lake. Bear Lake Reserve has surpassed our expectations. We spend our days in the summer with family and friends at the pools and on the lake waterskiing. Our evenings are relaxing with expertly prepared meals at the club very often taking advantage of the dining on the restaurant deck overlooking the lake. Early mornings usually start with hikes, kayaking, golf or tennis. Winter is about skiing, hiking, kayaking and shopping in Cashiers and Asheville.
What makes this Condo unique
One of the benefits of our location is the convenience to the lake and Club. Our condo sits right above the club house with 2 pools, workout facility, dining room and bar.

Wonderful condo and great location for family with teens!
We love Bear Lake and this condo unit is wonderful! We went with another family who also rented a unit in same area. Our condo easily allowed for 4 teens to stay upstairs-we had a loft area which was perfect. They boys could walk back & forth to the clubhouse which really gave the adults more time to relax and enjoy the amenities too. Just watch out for the bears, we did see them but they are not aggressive and are used to people. The kitchen had everything I needed to fix large meals and they provided coffee and filters which was nice as I forgot mine. The owner was so kind and offered us a late check out to enjoy the last day. This particular unit had a wonderful view of the lake , it feels like you are in a tree house, no neighbors above you to make noise either. Great place, we will definitely be back!!
Best location to the pool and lake. Condo is very comfortable and well-equipped. Owner is very-responsive. All the staff members at BLR we’re great. Also, a very dig-friendly environment which we much appreciated.
Beautiful and relaxing vacation
The location of the condo was perfect for our first visit to Bear Lake Reserve. You can walk down a path to the club or it’s a short drive. The condo was very clean and well stocked. The views of the lake were beautiful. We enjoyed the lake, pool, boating, hiking, golfing and beautiful sunsets at the top of the mountain. Thank you for the wonderful stay and we will definitely be back.
Bear Lake 2029
The photos of this townhome are wonderful, but it’s even more lovely in person. We enjoyed coffee and meals on the spacious deck which has lake views. The furnishings are well thought out yet homey. It was pristine and had every possible amenity to make our stay relaxed and comfortable. We loved how close we were to the lodge but definitely looked forward to returning to the home in the evenings to relax and play games. A wonderful property that we look forward to returning to in the future.
Lovely and quiet in November
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely and nicely decorated condo. Bear Lake Reserve is a beautiful, deep-in-the-mountains setting and was very quiet, which was a much needed quality for us! Much if this huge gated community is still undeveloped, but the houses that are there are beautiful and tastefully designed. The roads are very winding and steep, so expect to spend at least 15 minutes or so getting to the entrance/exit if the large development from the house. It is about 35+ minutes to Cashiers and closer to Sylva. Summer is probably wonderful since the house is very convenient to the lake club (walking distance). We enjoyed the respite and wouldn’t mind trying it out during summer!
