This newly renovated cottage, with a modern European design, boasts vaulted tin ceilings, kitchen, sliding doors for beautiful views leading to a wrap around porch and dock nestled just a few feet from a pond surrounded by 4.5 acres of property. Wake up to a rich cup of coffee or tea (provided), step out on the porch to enjoy all the sights and sounds of Cajun Country. The pond is a natural home to the blue heron, great white egret, the red-eared slider turtle, bullfrogs, and a few Louisiana crawfish!

We're located only 500 yards from Downtown Breaux Bridge, featuring World Famous Zydeco Breakfast at Buck and Johnny's, live Cajun music at Joie de Vivre Cafe, fabulous dining at Cafe Sydnie Mae's with award winning chef, Bonnie Breaux. Enjoy shopping at gift shops, antique shops, including Lagniappe, a 17,000 square foot antique mall! No tour would be complete without stopping by our newly dedicated Veteran's park honoring all branches of our military, as well as a quiet rest under the shade of the giant live oaks on Bayou Teche, followed by a swamp tour in Lake Martin. Top off the evening with dancing at La Poussiere, the famous Cajun Dance Hall or Pont Breaux's Restaurant!

Breaux Bridge is only 10 miles from Lafayette Regional Airport as well as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, home of the Ragin' Cajuns! Take in a concert at Acadiana Center for the Arts, visit George Rodrigue Studio to see the Blue Dogs, and take a trip back in time to Vermillionville Historic Village! If traveling from over seas, New Orleans International Airport is just about 2 hours away. It’s convenient for a pleasant day trip to New Orleans as well!

Lovely spot in Breaux Bridge

My husband and I were in town for Cycle Zydeco and picked this spot a long time ago in hopes that it would be central for the event. It was absolutely perfect! The house is super cute and exactly as pictured and described. We loved the wrap around porch and sat outside every day as we returned from our bike rides. The location is super convenient, and you can walk to every restaurant on the main road within 10 minutes. It's also less than a block from the police station so it felt very safe. We had one slight hiccup when we arrived as the keypad on the door didn't work but they sent out a locksmith in less than 30 minutes to get everything fixed and we were able to check in without issue and very little delay. We really appreciated how quickly the owner resolved the situation and made it a non-issue in the end. We would highly recommend this house for your stay in Breaux Bridge! We really hope to be back the next time we're in the area.

Great Getaway

My wife and I like to go to Flea Markets and Antique shops. We also like to eat at different restaurants other than the standard chains. Very close to Lafayette. There are lots of options to choose from.

Cute, serene place

The cottage is adorable - perfect for somebody who wants to chill, or would be great for a couple. The pond that surrounds it made it so peaceful. The owner had everything one would need to make it a pleasant stay. Located at the end of a dead end street and within walking distance to downtown. Highly recommend.
