Fantastic location and flat. Luisa was wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

The location of the flat/apartment was perfect. Only 9 minutes from the Vatican.and near Castle Sant Angelo. Good restaurants all around this location as well as markets for groceries. The flat is large and well appointed.

Luisa was so helpful in every respect. She responds promptly and speaks English fluently. My wife and I highly recommend this flat.

Fantastic Flat near Vaticano

  • 5 of 5

Luisa's apartment exceeded our expectations. A previous reviewer described it as palatial, I think that is an accurate description. The living room and bedroom are huge, but moreover it has the feel of a luxury property. Additionally, it comes very well appointed with full kitchen, laundry facilities and other amenities which made our four day stay very comfortable. The location is excellent - a 10 to 15 minute walk from Vatican City and about 30 minutes to Trastevere. It is also well connected by transit - the metro stop is about a 12 minute walk and the nearest bus stop - which will get you to the historical centre - is less than five minutes away. There are many good restaurants, cafes and shops within a few minute walk as well.

While I did not meet Luisa (her caretaker let us in and showed us around the flat), communications were very good as she promptly answered all questions. Luisa was a superb host who went out of her way to make us comfortable and welcome. I would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Rome. Highly recommended!!

This is a very nice flat in a very good location

  • 5 of 5

This 1-bedroom flat is in a very good location. If you take the 6 euro SIT bus from the Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport and get off at the Vatican stop you are just around the corner from this flat. The flat is just a 15 minute walk to The Vatican. For getting around the rest of Rome the flat is a 10-15 minute walk to the Lepanto metro stop. The flat is nice and roomy and very comfortable. The shower is small but the space that remains for the rest of the bathroom space was very nice. It is on the 4th floor and the building does have a lift. As the photos show the flat is beautifully decorated. There is a closet room that is really nice. Just around the corner there is a decent mini-mart. There are also a good number of restaurants, pastry, pizza and gelato shops close by. This flat has a washer/dryer combo that came in handy. We appreciated the bottle of wine, light breakfast breads, coffee, tea, milk and bottled water that the owner provided.

Splendid apartment, excellent location, great communication with owner

  • 5 of 5

Arriving late on a train after a 10-hour journey from France, tired, hungry, and cranky, we were stunned to find this palatial apartment awaiting us. Our spirits immediately lifted. Luisa, who always responded immediately to questions, had arranged for the building superintendent to let us in and explain what we needed to know. The air conditioner was most welcome as it was in the high 90s during our stay. The wash machine is also a bonus. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. Did I mention the vast walk-in closets and shelves? Luisa also makes you feel welcome by supplying lots of information about Rome, maps to major sites, a bottle of wine, and chocolates on the pillow. You will feel like royalty in this magnificent apartment. The ambience, the art, and treasure trove of art books make it hard to leave to tour the city. The quiet neighborhood has many excellent restaurants and cafes. There's a grocery store across the street. After dropping our luggage we went out for a walk and, to our delight, found the locals enjoying dinner at 11 p.m. The area is safe and you can walk to every major site from there. The Vatican is just 15 minutes away -- highly recommend that you go at night when the lights are on and the tourists are fewer. Breathtaking. Staying here will enhance your Rome experience!

Lovely Apartment, Wonderful Location

  • 5 of 5

We spent five nights here. The apartment is huge and beautifully decorated. Everything we could want was there, including many thoughtful extras like coffee, tea, olive oil and snacks. There's a supermarket just around the corner, and a taxi stand and bus stop within a block. Line A Lepanto metro station is about 6 blocks away. Both the historical district and Vatican are in easy walking distance. The airport shuttle SIT bus stop is just around the block, and the lovely owner met us there. Bed is very comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. There's a dishwasher and even a combination washer/dryer. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Beautiful apartment in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We had a communication problem in that we had a very late train. Luisa had waited in the apartment for our arrival, but was unable to stay due to how late we arrived in Rome. She made an arrangement for her agent to meet us and help us get our belongings to the apartment. After that, everything was wonderful.

The apartment matches the picture and was everything promised. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. The washer/dryer worked well and had more features than we could comprehend. The high ceilings, walk in dressing room, bathroom, and comfortable bed were all that we wished for. This spotless apartment represented the best of Rome, with beautiful furniture and amenities. The elevator made it ever so easy to get our luggage to the apartment, and saved us from walking up and down 5 flights of stairs.

We were able to walk to all of the sights on our must-see-list. The fabulous weather was a great surprise, and allowed us to walk for miles. The restaurants that were recommended were excellent, and we were went to several of them more than once.

We were surprised by an earthquake during our stay. We felt very safe as the walls were very thick. The shaking disturbed some of the paintings, but no damage was done. It was a first for us, and it certainly gave us something to talk about when we arrived home.

This was not our first time in Rome, and the last time we visited the Vatican was undergoing a major renovation. Much of the artwork was under cover, and the Sistine Chapel was filled with scaffolding. We knew that we wanted to make up for what we missed the first time around and purchased tickets before we left the US. We went early in the morning and arrived just as the Museum opened. It was a zoo. The Museum requires a 4 mile walk to see everything, and the crowds were huge. We recommend going late in the day to avoid the tours. The paintings, tapestries, sculptures, and Vatican treasures were breath taking, and my only regret was that it was difficult to see everything through the crowds.

In summary, this aprtment luxurious and wonderful treat and we have recommended it to our friends traveling to Rome. It made for a perfect end to our tour in Europe and exceeded our expectations.
