Modern and clean

  • 4 of 5

A 10-minute walk to Russell Square station, where there are several grocery stores and restaurants. The apartment was clean and functional, and there were several pantry items to help with cooking and plenty of pots. Impossible to take a proper shower due to poor design of shower and tub, however. Washer worked but not dryer function, so be prepared to hang clothes everywhere. Also, hard to find instructions to stove, laundry, AC etc. Apt mgmt could have done a more thorough job showing how things work.

Great apartment for a short or long stay in London.

  • 5 of 5

We've booked 6 rentals in Europe through VRBO for the past 3 years , and this apartment has been the best by far. It has a very contemporary style and is well appointed with everything you need. The AC was quite useful due to the heat and high humidity outside. The size of the apartment is great and the features exceeded our expectations. The linens are plentiful and look brand new. There is plenty of closet space and the bedroom is larger than many hotel rooms. The adjoining master bath is beautiful and very modern. The extra bathroom was also very useful. My wife said she could live here (and we have a 4 bedroom home in the US). The neighborhood is safe and has many options for dining out or getting take away. Walking to the bus took 5 minutes and the Russell Square tube station is 12 minutes away. This is a busy neighborhood during the day, so if you are a light sleeper like I am, I recommend using travel earplugs which worked fine. I'd also like to commend the rental agent, Heritage Apartments. They were very responsive to all my questions during the booking process and during our stay. Since we took an overnight flight from the US, we were able to arrange an early check-in (and some nap time) for a fee. I highly recommend this place for a couple with either a child or another traveling companion (there is a fold-out bed) and look forward to staying here again.

Great space for our young family of 4.

Would definitely stay here again but would be difficult if our kids were teenagers. Highly recommend!

Comfort and Location

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend. There are cafés, restaurants, and a small grocery store within a 1-2 block walk. In fact, there are two pubs within a single block walk but they aren’t rowdy so it’s quite convenient. The nearest tube station is 5-10 min away. The British Museum is about 15 min away. As for the apartment, it is a good size with the necessary amenities and comfort. Best of all, communication was effortless.

Flat is in an excellent neighborhood and very convenient to many of London’s attractions. About a fifteen minute walk from West End theaters. Well-furnished and equipped. Very pleasant place.

Bloomsbury is an area of the London Borough of Camden, in central London, between Euston Road and Holborn, developed by the Russell family in the 17th and 18th centuries into a fashionable residential area. It is notable for its array of garden squares, literary connections (exemplified by the Bloomsbury Group), and numerous cultural, educational and health-care institutions. Bloomsbury was not the first area of London to have acquired a formal square, Bloomsbury Square laid out in 1660 by Thomas Wriothesley, 4th Earl of Southampton, as Southampton Square was the first square to be named as such.
