Convenient, comfortable, modern apartment

  • 5 of 5

This was my second time staying in one of these apartments. They are conveniently located and there are many restaurants, grocery stores and pubs nearby. It's easy to get wherever you need to go in central London and the apartment itself is comfortable, clean and has everything you need, as described. It was quiet even though there was construction across the street. I'm ready to go back anytime and recommend it highly.

Beautiful apartment in quiet neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

The apartment and staff communication exceeded our expectations. The apartment was within 10 minutes of 3 different subway lines and down the street from the bus stop. You could be on the River Thames in 25 minutes from leaving the building. The apartment is in a quiet building a couple blocks off the main road.

Very modern & updated with modern furnishings and every attention to detail was given. All amenities you would want were available...including air conditioning (not that it was needed at end of September), bath products, kitchen appliances & a washer/dryer.

Convenient to grocery store and variety of neighborhood restaurants and a pub.

The representative who met us upon arrival was very informative about London and everything in the apartment.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this apartment!

Modern, upscale apartment in great location

  • 5 of 5

Spent eight days in this beautiful, clean, modern apartment with my husband and two kids. Convienent, safe neighborhood, just a few minutes walk to restaurants, cafes, drug store, basic groceries, etc. Buses a couple of blocks away take you to Kings Cross or Holborn stations (or a 15 min walk, which we did several times).

With the exception of room service, the apartment has all the amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook for a family. Note that the sofa bed is a bit small for two people. Karen was very accomadating even had extra sheets and pillow delivered when my 2nd decided to sleep on the other sofa.

Since our flight arrived later in the evening, Karen arranged for their driver Mark, who was very pleasant and full of information, to pick us up at Heathrow.

We highly recommend this apartment, especially if you want to live like a local!

Modern apartment in great location

  • 4 of 5

The location is the best thing about the apartment. It is convenient to pubs, restaurants and a wonderful supermarket. The building was recently restored with all the bells and whistles, but in some cases not the most functional plan. The room darkening shades are effective for light blocking, but there is no privacy in the daytime or after dark. This is especially true in the bathroom. There is an amazing amount of traffic on John St. almost 24 hours a day making sleep difficult, but hailing a cab easy. Staff was prompt responding to problems, but we would have liked clear instructions on how to use the appliances. Would not recommend for people who are older or not in good physical condition due to tub enclosure. Nor for those who plan to do anything beyond the simplest cooking.

Owner's Response: These guests were a pleasure to have however I feel may have missed a couple of things. We provide full manuals in the kitchen give giving clear instructions for all the appliances. Manufacturing manuals The apartment renovated to a high standard has double glazing and blocks out any traffic noise only if you have the windows open would you hear traffic noise. With the benefit of air con this is not necessary. I hope this additional information is useful.

A beautiful apartment is a great location.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The central but quiet location was perfect and the furnishings and inventory were just as we expected from the photos.

The only frustrating point was with the managing / booking agents (Heritage Apartments). We booked the property three months earlier and were told that nearer the time they would provide us with the arrival and key pick up information. Instead of sending us the arrival information, we received a call asking to confirm how many people were staying ( It was booked for my husband and myself), which I thought was strange.

I emailed them several times asking for the information, yet we received the informed only after we landed by text message.

The representative who met us on arrival was very professional and friendly, which made up for the unnecessary numerous emails prior to our arrival.

Based on the apartment, we would definitely book this property again next year.

Owner's Response: We are delighted our guest enjoyed their stay with us. We as a company pride ourselves in our attention to detail so we checked this file. We telephone and spoke with our guests on the 18th April and then forwarded full arrival details with the address details in writing and discussed their key collection also,. We have checked our file copies and it was sent on the 18th of April, full month before with all details after a lengthy phone call. The address details are also noted on our paperwork. We really hope that we can welcome our guests back in the near future. The text was the meeting member of staff number which we provide closer to the date, once we allocate our Team Member.

Bloomsbury is an area of the London Borough of Camden, in central London, between Euston Road and Holborn, developed by the Russell family in the 17th and 18th centuries into a fashionable residential area. It is notable for its array of garden squares, literary connections (exemplified by the Bloomsbury Group), and numerous cultural, educational and health-care institutions. Bloomsbury was not the first area of London to have acquired a formal square, Bloomsbury Square laid out in 1660 by Thomas Wriothesley, 4th Earl of Southampton, as Southampton Square was the first square to be named as such.
