About Marwan Abboud
My wife and I purchased this North Georgia property in 2004. My wife has since passed away but she adored it and we spent a lot of time up there with my two kids. It is a great hide out and a jewel of a place to just relax, walk down the country lane, or go out on a hike on the many mountain trails. In renting out the cabin, we are sharing her legacy with others at a modest price.

Really got away from it all
The sounds of the creek and the peace of privacy deep in the woods made the cabin feel otherworldly . Everything one could need was available and the host was very kind and accommodating .
Quaint cabin in the woods
Just a quick two nights while checking on other property we have under renovation. Would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the surroundings.
My wife and I love to whitewater raft and we came here for a getaway with our small dogs. We had an amazing weekend with a beautiful stream and waterfall within walking distance, a great small town in Clayton with excellent food, and hundreds of hiking trails and waterfalls in the surrounding area. It's a perfect getaway weekend. The WiFi worked perfectly, the place was clean and the beds were super comfortable. I would always come back and Marwan is an excellent host! He was available whenever I had a question and was very helpful. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting the area.
The second visit is like coming home... everything is familiar and all the desired amenities are there and in good working order. We booked for a last minute escape to the mountains before an extended separation due to work. The weekend was quite rainy and it just didn’t matter. Listening to the rain on the roof and relaxing on the porch was a gift in and of itself. The cabin is cozy and comfortable and Clayton has a number of good restaurants and shops (especially Outdoor 76, where you can now enjoy a beer whilst shopping!) to entertain. At the end of the trip we left well-fed, rested, and with a stack of vinyl albums purchased in town. We will absolutely return.
It's a nice place, but it rained all weekend, and it was very cold on Saturday
Wish I had control on Mother Nature - if I did I would beg for beautiful weather all the time
We had a great time!
We had two families of four staying in the cabin for three nights. Everyone enjoyed themselves. There was plenty of room for the kids to play on the hill behind the house along with the stream in front to explore. The multiple porches were great, with the kids really enjoying the large front one. There are two firepits to use, including one with a great wooden bench. We stayed warm and cozy inside with the wood stove. Our kids were already asking to come back in the summer so they could go swimming in the stream...
Our two families have been renting a couple of cabins a year for a while now. While we have always had good owner experiences, the owner of this cabin has been the quickest and most conscientious responding one. He is definitely interested in making sure you enjoy your time. Would definitely go back.
Also, skip Walmart and go to Ingles grocery store. Great selection.
