Hello, I'm Frederik. I'm married with Caroline and we have 2 betautiful kids (twins) Eva and Simon. We live in Belgium and I work for Audi. Caroline is a beautician. Our kids still go to school. We always dreamt of buying a house abroad to spent our holidays and spent as much time as possible in our free time.

We came here on a holiday and we fell immediately in love with the house and its surroundings. We live a hectic life at home and when we go on holidays, we love a quiet place where we can enjoy the silence of nature. We spent 3 years in this house when we were on holidays and the last year, I asked the owners, a lovely English couple who live 200m from the house, if they weren't planning on selling the house and to surely contact us when the time was there. A year later we bought the house !!
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the house because it is a traditional Provence house which is about 250 years old. It has thick walles wich means it stays very cool during the hot season. It is situated at the end of a dead end street so there is no traffic at all. The house lays on a private property of 1.6 hectare and has a very nice private pool.The charming village of Cotignac is only 3 km away so everything is nearby.

- In the traditional provence style, the stone staircases to the bedrooms are outside. The two double bedrooms can be converted to two twins on request. Possibility of 2 adults in one room, and 2 adults and 1 child in a cot in the other. There are 2 terraces at the house : 1 sunny terrace and 1 terrace in the shade, ideal for a cool lunch at noon. The swimming pool is HEATED by 'heat pump', from beginning of May to end of September. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE IS 25 DEGREES. The pool measures 8m.x4m.x1.6m deep. It is chlorine free, and is sterilised by a salt electrolysis system. The pool is 10 meters from the house and is solely for the use of the occupants. It is surrounded by a hedge, and is totally private. There is a childproof barrier, and a pool alarm for protection. Pool / beach towels are also provided, costing you less baggage.

Perfect little hideaway
This was our second visit to this beautiful property and it was looking even better than last time! The house, the pool and the grounds are all beautifully cared for and provide the ideal setting for a completely relaxing holiday. The beautiful village of Cotignac is within easy reach and there are treats galore a short car trip away; Lac Ste Croix, Gorges de Verdon, Tourtour to mention a few.
Fantastic place to relax and get away from the busy life
We had a great time at the house. It is situated in a quiet location and everything is private. The beautiful village of Cotignac is at only 3 km from the house. Nice swimming pool only for our private use. Bruno and Isabelle who take care of the house were very helpful. We can only recommend this property

Beautiful stone cottage
My wife and I had a fantastic week in Cotignac. The cottage is beautiful, set in large grounds with a heated swimming pool. The house is clean and well maintained, and perfect for relaxing and as a base for exploring this part of Provence.
Cotignac and the surrounding towns and villages are all very picturesque, with markets in one of the local towns most days of the week. We also visited the Gorges du Verdon and Lac Ste Croix, as well as Tourtour, Aups, and Brignoles.
Cotignac has several restaurants, but we found Hotel Restaurant du Cours to be particularly good, with excellent local food and wines.
We would thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing break in a beautiful part of France.
Lovely holiday retreat!
The first thing that strikes you is the silence and ofcourse the beauty of nature. You get totally relaxed after staying in this house/area.
The house is nice and comfortable, the swimming pool great and everything that you need to make it a pleasant vacation is available.
Beds are comfortable, kitchen is practical and fully equiped and the outside terraces give you the opportunity to eat outside every time.
You don’t have to worry about the practical side of your stay as the owners taught about everything. (even a BBQ)
The environment offers you plenty of options so you get not bored easily.
Cotignac is a lovely typical french village with lots of pitoresk bars and restaurants.

TIP: You certainly have to taste the grapes on the vineyards in the environment, they are delicious.
Uniek verblijf in het hart van de provence
Les cypres is een zeer aangename plek waar je echt tot rust kan komen. Het huisje is perfect in orde en heeft alles wat nodig is voor een geslaagde vakantie. Ook de omgeving biedt alles wat je nodig hebt op zowel sportief als culinair. Kortom een aanrader.
Wonderful holiday
A lovely cottage in a glorious region of Provence. This property is secluded but does not feel isolated. The totally private swimming pool is superb and we spent many hours cooling off in the Provencal sunshine. The cottage is well equipped and keeps very cool, even in high temperatures. The surrounding grounds are beautiful with plenty of places to choose to sit and relax and read.The village of Cotignac is really charming with plenty of good restaurants; it is about 7 minutes away by car. We spent a truly relaxing holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this cottage.

Cotignac is a pretty, unspoiled Provence village set at the foot of ancient limestone cliffs, and designated 'Village de Caractère', and 'Un des plus beaux villages de France'. It was founded before the Romans, and in the 19th century was at the centre of the olive and silkworm industries. It is at the heart of the Côte de Provence vineyards. The village has many beautiful fountains and a weekly Provençal market, plus the benefit of several restaurants and shops. In the summer, a festival of films and concerts are presented in the spectacular outdoor 'Théatre du Rocher'.
To the south, Cotignac is 1 hour from St. Tropez and the Cote d'Azur. To the north at 45 minutes is the breathtaking Gorge de Verdon and beautiful Lac St. Croix, with the lavender fields of Valensole nearby.To the west at 1hour is Aix en Provence, and Avignon at 2 hours. To the east the Italian border is 90 minutes away.
