About Tatiana Piedrahita (Property Manager)

Our family lives in South Florida full time but spend a good part of most summers in Vermont. We were married in Montgomery Center, VT after falling in love with this amazing and beautiful community.

Tatiana Piedrahita (Property Manager) purchased this chateau / country house in 2007

Why Tatiana Piedrahita (Property Manager) chose Vermont

As soon as we saw the property we knew it was a special place. Located 2 miles from the Canadian border (75 miles from Montreal) and breathtaking views of Jay Peak from the front porch. Spend most nights out at the fire pit, having a party in the Disco Barn or just sitting on the front porch sipping on wine. The maple trees are tapped no the property and you can pick up some of the great syrup from our neighbors who have the sugar house. Thats why we named it Maple Hill.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Very close to all sorts of outdoor activities including swimming, hiking, skiing and canoeing. Also near the Canadian border and wine region of Quebec. The house is big enough for large groups and sleeps up to 12 very comfortably. We truly enjoy every trip up there!

The Property was an awesome place to stay for a group of friends looking to hit the slopes! There was 8 of us total and there was plenty of room left. Very spacious! Also great views of the distant mountains and some cool sunrises! Highly recommend it!

Gorgeous Cabin - The Pictures Don't Do it Justice!

  • 5 of 5

This property was amazing! It was even more gorgeous than the pictures showed, with a beautiful, well-stocked granite counter kitchen and tons of space. My family spent the holidays and new years at this place, and it was perfect. We drove to Stowe Mountain and Jay Peak for skiing. Although it wasn't right on the hills, it was totally worth the drive. The house was clean with a cabin feel. We received answers to our questions promptly. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Beautiful large chalet!!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely amazing chalet! We were 10 friends who slept very comfortably for 2 nights. Less than half an hour from Jay Peak. Great communication with the owner/property manager. Beautiful open kitchen which is great for a large group! The pictures don't do justice. The chalet was very clean and well kept. Highly recommended for large groups who are looking for a fun weekend getaway to Jay Peak!

Everything and More

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Maple Hill - house was spectacular. Great living space for 2 families and kids. Very very well equipped kitchen! Great access to Jay Peak (which just so happened to have ideal conditions during our stay). Highly recommend this house to anyone looking to get away and be in a super comfortable, luxurious home. Cant wait to plan a return visit.

Beautiful, peaceful and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughters (9, 12), two dogs and I stayed at the log home for a week in August. The property is beautiful and the views are gorgeous. We ate all of our meals outside just so we could enjoy every moment of the beautiful view.

The listing was completely accurate and the property was exactly as I expected it to be. The property was very clean and well maintained. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms are large and most had bathrooms. There are two large sitting areas, two beautiful decks and a beautiful kitchen. Plenty of room for the number of guests allowed.

The yard is huge and perfect for pets and children. The dogs and the kids had plenty of space to run and play. There is also a fire pit for Smores!

The Jay Peak area is a great place to visit and a short drive away. We went to the Pump House (indoor water park) at the Jay Peak Resort and the kids had a great time. There are also many places to walk and explore in the area. We took hikes at Jay Peak, walked the nature trail at Lake Carmi (there is a lake for swimming), walked along the Stowe Recreation Path (great place for dogs as it runs along a river where there are lots of dogs playing), and went shopping at the Church Street Market Place.

We had such a peaceful and relaxing vacation and it was exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this home!

Couple of practical notes: Although this house feels in the "middle of nowhere" there is a grocery store about 15 minutes away if you plan to cook your own meals. And we received our deposit back the Monday after we returned which was very quick!

One of the best places I ever visited!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful chalet! Beautiful location!

No doubts - the chalet is stunning. We stayed in there just 2 days and it was all worth it!

Amazing place, big enough to accommodate 12 people with 5 big beautiful and clean bedrooms plus a sofa bed in the living room.

The location was great (not far from Jay Peak) and the chalet was clean, big, well equipped, secured and quiet!

We definitely would recommend this place to all and we will definitely be making a return visit!

Jay Peak

The 4 bedroom/4 bath with loft home is 8 miles from the Canadian border and 17 miles from Jay Peak. From the Lake Champlain Valley in the northwest, to the ski resorts of the north-central: Jay Peak, Stowe/Waterbury region, to the pristine beauty of the Northeast Kingdom, northern Vermont is where the beauty of nature comes into sharp focus. While in the area, fans of covered bridges may want to swing northward – especially during foliage season - toward the towns of Montgomery and Enosburg Falls, where there is a cluster of these historic beauties. In the north-central region, year-round activities, although winter, of course, is the ski resorts time to shine with downhill skiing, snow tubing, snowshoeing, and other outdoor winter activities. The Northeast Kingdom, a more remote jewel of the Green Mountain state, is the place to go for rustic state parks, camping, fishing, hiking and biking trails, snowmobiling, canoeing and kyacking. Simply a beautiful spot.

Other Activities: Long Trail Hiking, Wine Tasting, Covered Bridges
