Charming well maintained farmhouse on Little Compton's West Main Road built in the early 1700's. Old wide pine floor boards with area rugs bring a cozy, homey feeling ..
Back yard is private with shaded sitting area and beyond that a large sunny area with clothesline.
Perennial border lines the south side of the circular driveway.
Patio is ideal for outdoor dining or enjoying the shade.
Farmstand and bakery are located next to farmhouse. A wide variety of vegetables and berries are grown on the farm. Almost a one stop shopping -dairy, cold drinks, bread and lots of shelf items to prepare in the well equipped kitchen.

We love Little Compton and we loved this house when we visited Columbus Day weekend. The neighboring farms featured apple picking, hayrides, and massive pumpkins for sale. This is a wonderful old house with all the things you can either love or tolerate in an old place. The beds are fully up to date and comfy and so is all the living room furniture. It is well situated next to the owner's wonderful farm stand from which we purchased a dozen unusual pumpkins, great produce, food stuffs and flowers. The stand stays open into mid November. The stairs to the master bedroom might be daunting to some, but there are bedrooms downstairs as well. Travel into town to the Art Cafe for great espresso drinks and ambiance. Be sure to visit Goosewing Preserve off Town Beach, regardless of the season: it is one of the most pristine beaches in the entire country. If it rains while you are there, hop in the car and go to New Bedford Massachusetts to the Whaling Museum, which is a treasure.
We were a group of 8 in town for a wedding. This house was perfect for us. Great location, lots of charm and loved the farm stand next door. Close by to sites of Little Compton and access to the beach was a bonus!
It was a very relaxing weekend and we had a wedding nearby . All of us enjoyed the 18th century charm of the house.
We really enjoyed our stay here, we felt very taken care of by the hosts (and yet left alone at the same time, just right!). The beds were very firm and comfortable and everything was very clean. They had fresh fruits, veggies, decorative gourds and flowers from the stand next door waiting for us, which was a very nice touch. The house is very old, and is inherently a little "wonky"...I was scared the beautiful clawfoot tub might fall through the floor and we definitely bumped our heads on the low ceilings in places. But if you are like us and don't care as much about amenities and would rather have "an experience" then I highly recommend this home.
Clean, historic, proximal to beach and farm stand - suited our needs perfectly! Would recommend highly.
We stayed 3 days for Memorial week end and we had a very nice time. The communication with Susie was really easy and Coll the owner welcomed us when we arrived. The house is really nice and clean with everything you need to cook and have a good time. The location is great and there is a bakery next to the house which is perfect for croissants in the morning. Nice beaches and lots to see around the house. Newport being a short and easy drive. We will be back.
Little Compton is geographically a peninsula. It is bordered on the east by the Westport River, the west by the Sakonnet River and due south is the open Atlantic Ocean. This end of town is called Sakonnet Point .There is a small fishing industry, a historical lighthouse a , the Sakonnet Golf Club and the Sakonnet Point Club.
Aquidneck Island is across the river-Portsmouth, Middletown and Newport..
Walker's Roadside Stand (next door). the fish store, package store and general store are all within 2 miles of the house.Tiverton 4 Corners is 4 miles north where there are lots of artisan shops, a gourmet food store and the famous Gray's ice cream
