Sleeps up to twelve.

Located on the second fairway of one of the top rated public golf courses in the country.

Winter shuttle takes you right to the lifts or to the village at night. View the slopes from the living room. Best skiing in the East.

Shared Ski Season Availability: We would like to find a party to split the ski season with us with alternating weeks/weekends available.

We like to reserve New Year's and Reggae Weekend, but the rest of the dates are negotiable through the season.

In a shared seasonal arrangement we would have a base rent and split the utilities.

We are only interested in renting to mature and quiet groups and families. This property can accommodate a large group, but we will not rent to large groups as a party house. The rental agreement has strict stipulations on noise, smoking and curfews. If you are interested in hosting a wild party, please find a different listing.

Apartment: Note that there is a separate apartment on the lower level which may be occupied by ourselves, family or friends independently of the main house. It has a separate entrance. The main rental unit has exclusive access to deck and hot tub.

About Jack Farrell

I am a ski instructor at the mountain and come up nearly every week. When the house is rented we stay in the apartment on the lower level and you have the house and hot tub to yourself. Our family and friends helped us build this place in 2006. We enjoy it every ski season on special weekends with friends and music. We make it available to others from time to time. Join us at the ski school or on the hill at Sugarloaf, the finest mountain in the East.

Jack Farrell purchased this chateau / country house in 2006

Why Jack Farrell chose Sugarloaf

The view, the quiet and the convenience of being close to the mountain. The fireplace. The shuttle access. It's cozy and fun, and really feels like a ski house. Our son even provided a renovated chairlift as a love seat. The hot tub. This is an original sustainable home with super insulation and solar hot water.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Versatility, many options for different groups/arrangements. Watch the groomers make tomorrow's snow perfect while you enjoy the hot tub.

Gorgeous Mountain Home - Worth the Rental

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this beautiful home for a week. It was very spacious and super comfortable. Kitchen is very big and has all the supplies you need to make a great meal. We hung out by the fire and enjoyed the hot tub every night. 3 bathrooms was very helpful and a Washer/Dryer was available if needed. Right on the shuttle route so very convenient -- we didn't drive our call all week. Pictures online do not do the home justice -- much, much nicer than we expected. Beautiful craftsmanship throughout the home. Owners were very responsive and easy to deal with. Would definitely rent again and recommend highly!

Wonderful Stay, A++

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this beautiful and spacious property for NYE weekend. Very very spacious with plenty of room for 10 adults. Beds incredibly comfortable, kitchen spacious with enough room to cook/make snacks. Came stocked with all essentials needed for a ski weekend (plenty of pots/pans/serving ware). Three full bathrooms was terrific to have, and there was plenty of hot water for everyone in our group to shower/bath.

The living room has awesome views of the mountain and a high celling giving a very open and spacious feel to the home. The deck wasn't utilized too much by our group (full of fresh powder!!) but the hot tub was a hit, and offered some nice "ahh" time after the slopes. The Vermont Castings wood stove was great and kept us all warm (a little too warm for some in our group!).

Overall will definitely look to contact Jack again for a future rental. Had a great time and really enjoyed the property. I almost want to keep it a secret how great this place is, but alas gotta share the love!

Great Property

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful property and the VRBO pictures do not do it justice. Our group of four adults and three small children had plenty of room and were extremely comfortable during our stay. It was clean and well equipped upon arrival and Jack was very responsive to the few questions we had during the week. The shuttle bus stops at the end of the driveway and takes you right to the Sugarloaf base lodge in a five minute drive; VERY convenient!! We will definately be back. Thanks Jack for a great week.

Modern and

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved the house. The hot tub is an amazing touch as well. Plenty of space for all guests, and our favorite part was the loft bed upstairs. The owner definitely knows how to make you feel at home. The mountain is so close and there is even a shuttle that will pick you up from the driveway! We even had guests that took the shuttle to the nightlife on the mountain at night. Rent this place, and you are guaranteed not to be disappointed. Thanks Jack!

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 4 families (8 adults, 6 kids under the age of 7) and this place more than accommodated us. Beautiful, warm and comfortable...very close to the mountain. The kids had easy access to sledding and snowshoeing, quick and easy to the mountain. Shuttle stops right at the house. A great value for a wonderful house. The hot tub was very popular, as was the fireplace. Homey and comfortable. Perfect for our group! Owner friendly and helpful to boot!
