If you are looking for the most luxurious, sumptuous and cover me in rose petals experience in Thailand, where its all about amazing food, service, views and attention to detail on a level usually reserved for A-Listers, then this is the property for you. The accommodation is simply stunning - if the Mandarin Oriental built an island retreat, this is what they would build and this particular property would be their top suit. It's massive!!! Put your sun-glasses and book down in one place and after a Thai culinary masterclass of a lunch that would leave Gordon Ramsey speechless, you'll be hard pushed to find them again. And its gorgeously finished.... It's amazing. We absolutely loved it. But don't worry, the gym is state of the art - really! And there's plenty to do on the beach once you roll out of the day-beds and I to a kayak..... Breathtakingly enjoyable and make sure you have dinner in their tree pod, where the waiter arrives on a zip-wire!!! We can't wait to go back next year!!!!
Koh Kood is the perfect hideaway on an unspoilt island – despite being Thailand's fourth largest island, Koh Kood is barely developed – with perfect beaches, a lush tropical landscape and crystal clear waters.
If you are planning to explore the island it is highly recommended to hire a scooter as cars are quite scarce on the island.
The island has more nature sights worth visiting than cultural monuments. The west coast features plenty of breath-taking beaches.
Nam Tok Khlong Chao is a stunning waterfall with a huge pool where you can enjoy a swim. Near the turn-off to the waterfall is a mangrove-lined estuary. The top of the estuary is a rocky area where you can enjoy quality time alone in nature. For you to truly experience the joy of this beautiful nature you can rent a kayak and then swim in the natural pool surrounded by forest.
Ao Salat is a fishing village located in the north of the island and is home to around 300 people, making it the largest settlement on the island. It is built on stilts in the water and is quite interesting to visit.
Koh Kood is a paradise for the scuba diving lovers. The diving locations are countless and the weather permits good diving almost any time of the year.
