Photos and Description of this Amagansett holiday cottage

3 bedrooms, 3 full baths sleeps 6

This clean, bright, and airy beach House overlooking Napaegue harbor has everything you need. It is just a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Hamptons. It is also just a short walk to a large protected harbor that is known for perhaps the best kite surfing in the Northeast. Artists have been coming to this area for years because of the spectacular lighting. The sunsets off the large back deck are amazing and change every night.

The house is set up with 2 master suites; Upstairs you have a queen bed with its own bath and sliders that lead to an outdoor sitting area. Downstairs you have another queen bed with it's own bath and a separate entrance. There is also a small bedroom downstairs that has a single twin bed or can be set up for a child's crib.

The house was a featured property in the NY POST Travel sec. 6/23/09 and has all the best of everything; HDTV, WIFI, Central A/C, Mitchell gold sofas, fine linens and glassware. NO PETS ALLOWED.

Wonderful house in Amagansett

  • 5 of 5

This is wonderful house for anyone who wants a beach vacation in the Hamptons where they can truly relax, enjoy the beauty and slow pace of Amagansett, and if they can pull themselves away from the house or the beach, have plenty of activities nearby that don't require sitting in traffic on a sunny day. A beautiful space, with cushy couches, a large dining room table for eating (and playing board games). It's very well maintained. There is a picture perfect view of the bay, so perfect we saw people get out of their cars to take pictures on the road behind the house over and over again while we barbequed and watched the sunsets each evening on the back porch..The beach is beautiful and only a short walk away, near a State Park where you can also walk through the sand dunes. Boogie board, umbrella and chairs were at the house for our use at the beach. The nearby Aquaculture fish farm is a great place to buy scallops, lobster, and mouthwatering tartines, Lunch Restaurant is a short walk down the road for lobster rolls, La Fontina for mexican, Chutney Company for breakfast or lunch, Montauk, the town of Amagansett and East Hampton are all a short car ride away for eating and shopping. Recommend renting (Amagansett Bike and Beach) or bringing bikes for early mornings on the road near the bay or to the dunes... you will be among a number of cyclists and friendly joggers. The house was clean, the beds extremely comfortable, and there are 3 bathrooms and an outdoor shower which is convenient when there is a group coming back from the beach. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, make coffee, and there is a grill outside.

No one wanted to go home...would love to come back next year....

Charming beach house

  • 5 of 5

We loved this charming beach house & had a wonderful stay. The owner was helpful & made everything easy. The only downside is outdoors there are lots of mosquitos. The beach is great.

Sweet but Noisy

  • 4 of 5

This is an immaculate little house, with everything you could need, and decorated beautifully.

However, there is a train that runs about 40 ft from the house in the back, and constant noise from the traffic on the Montauk Highway in the front of the house,

The train rattled through briefly and not too often, and we turned on the air conditioning to blunt the traffic sounds.

Other than these drawbacks, it was great. Right across the highway to a beautiful beach .

Relaxing and beautiful

  • 5 of 5

The house had everything we needed for an enjoyable family vacation (with a 7 month old). The beach nearby was great and we definitely took advantage of that daily. The house is well equipped for cooking, sleeping and relaxing - the interiors are well appointed and thoughtfully decorated. Some people might find proximity to the train and highway distracting but we didn't notice it much after a day, and thought the train passing by right in front of the windows was sort of cool. We've rented a lot in the Hamptons and the fact is that this house in a different location might be double or triple the price, so it's really great for what you pay. We would definitely return!

A pearl in Amagansett!

  • 5 of 5

I was here for a girls' weekend several years ago, and now it's an annual. We keep coming back to this pearl in Amagansett! From the high ceilings, to the pristine white decor, and the perfect central location (to the beach, to shopping in East Hampton, to nights in Montauk). We can't wait to go back next year. Meantime, I want to paint everything in my house white!

Fabulous home in Amagansett for our family

  • 5 of 5

We loved our family vacation at the White on White Beach house. All white and open. Impeccably decorated and comfortable for my whole family. I am a clean freak so I loved how clean and fresh the house was.

Days were spent on the ocean across the street. I loved the fact that we could take the wagon with the kids and stay all day at the ocean and play with other families. It was such a short walk we could come back for lunch, kids naps or a bathroom break. Loved using the outdoor shower on the beach days.

Sunsets off the back deck are phenomenal. My husband and I spent most nights

grilling on the bbg and enjoying ourselves. Lots of family fun. We had no stress, there is a white wooden gate on the steps off the main room plus a gate off the back deck the kids were safe so we could enjoy our stay. The homeowners clearly have children of their own and have thought of all the amenities and needs of parents! Lovely home we can"t wait to come again. We have already booked for next season.

Car: necessary

The property is located about 4 miles east of Amagansett town center. On the north side of Montauk Hwy. The rear of the house/back deck overlooks the parkland of Napeague harbor. The train runs behind the house. It is the local train to Montauk. We find this to be a minor distraction considering the spectacular unobstructed water views and great sunsets. The ocean beach is about a 450 Yards walk across the road. A beach wagon is included to bring the Coolers, Beach chairs and umbrellas etc.
