About this property

Casa Capuchin, Ocean view Home

Casa Cappuchin is a beautiful, modern four level home perched on a hill, overlooking the tropical rainforest and the endless blue ocean. This stunning home has a state-of-the-art design that maximizes the feeling and positive effects of living on the coast. The "open walls” facing the water invite the outdoors in, fostering a feeling of oneness with your surroundings. Nowhere is this more evident than in the "close encounters" you will have with the local wildlife. Monkeys visit regularly, sloth, birds and iguanas are easily spotted right off the villa’s terraces.

Ideal for honeymooners, couples, families and mid-size groups, its location guarantees a relaxing atmosphere. At the same time, many attractions, services and restaurants are close by, making it very convenient. Note to guests: Due to the proximity of the pool and the height of the balconies, we do not recommend this house for young children

Able to accommodate up to 10 people in 4 bedrooms, this luxurious villa is equipped with the necessary amenities to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. The full kitchen includes a microwave, coffee maker, blender and a wine cooler. The lounging area meets all the standards of Costa Rican open air living with plenty of ceiling fans, a cool ocean breeze and private pool. The house has high speed WiFi, a stereo system, phone and cable TV. On the roof, and out of sight, are 67 solar panels providing enough electricity to make your stay truly carbon-neutral.

The 2 upper level bedrooms each have a king-size bed and a panoramic ocean view. The 3rd bedroom has a queen size bed, twin bed and balcony with a jungle view. The 4th bedroom (located off an internal courtyard) has a queen size bed, and a sitting room with partial ocean and jungle views. All 4 bedrooms have private bath, air conditioning and, except for the 4th, ceiling fans.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your concierge who will be available to assist you 24x7 via phone, WhatsApp or email. During your stay this concierge can provide information regarding local attractions, make restaurant recommendations, book tours or a private chef. If you prefer not to shop for food, they can stock the pantry for you. Daily housekeeping is included except Sundays and national holidays.

Located in a semi-gated community along with several other vacation rentals, Casa Capuchin is about 300 yards from the main road connecting Manuel Antonio National Park and the town of Quepos. Local bus service, numerous restaurants, bank (ATM), food and souvenir shopping are all within walking distance. Door to door cab service is readily available.

If you come for the wildlife, you are in for a real treat. Three species of monkeys (howler, Capuchin and squirrel) are regular visitors. Iguanas are plentiful, sloths are a little tougher to spot, but look up, and you might see one in the trees looking down at you. Numerous species of tropical birds can be seen daily including toucans, tanagers, aracaris, kiskadees and Scarlet Macaws.

Let yourself be pampered by the ultimate expression of tropical luxury. Come to Casa Capuchin and make your vacation a truly memorable experience.

Wonderful trip
This is an absolutely amazing property. I literally gasped when we walked through the front door at the view. Pictures can not do it justice. We found the location to be perfect for us as we were able to walk to restaurants, market, ATM, and some of the activities we wanted to do. Communication with property manager was great and he saved us money on some of our excursions by booking directly for us. We did not book a single activity until the day before because we wanted to wait and see what the weather forecast looked like and we never had any issues being able to do a single thing we were planning on doing. The housekeeper was outstanding and all of us enjoyed the towel animals she made for us each day. She truly made the trip so much more enjoyable as I never had to worry about doing laundry or cleaning up. As a mom, that is a very rare treat! As others have mentioned the wildlife here can not be beat. The monkeys came on a daily stroll through the property around 3-4 pm. One even stole our banana bread off the kitchen counter. We got some great pictures of that happening. A few things that may be helpful to know when planning on visiting this beautiful property: •Property was loaded with pool/ beach towels- you will not need to bring any with you •you are on a street with many other homes so you will not feel isolated •local government taxes add 13% on all charges to credit cards for activities so you may want to bring your ATM card and use cash

If you like wildlife and amazing views stay here
This is a special property. Gorgeous house with amazing views. The host, Alexander, was extremely responsive and helpful in setting up tours (most will pick you up at the house). Some of our favorites were Catamaran cruise, zip lining, and Villa Vanilla (organic spice farm - sounds like it would be boring, but it was surprisingly interesting and interactive including pastries, ice cream, and drinks made using their spices). Our favorite past time was watching the monkeys play in the pool everyday. They came every morning and evening. We planned our excursions around those times. They have a cabinet to lock up your food. We forgot one day and they got into our Oreo's. We saw at least 3 sloths, multiple Macaws, Toucans, and the nightly Kinkajou. We were actually disappointed in our tour of Manuel Antonio park because we saw many more animals at the house. Our 2 favorite restaurants were Retaurante Ronny's (go there for sunset - great view - get reservations) and Rafaeles Las Terrazas (amazing 180 degree view of the ocean). El Wagon had great wood fired pizzas and they deliver to the house even during a rain storm. Runaway at the Marina in Quepos also had amazing sunset views. Be aware that one of the queen bedrooms is a loft bed. You have to climb up a spiral staircase to get to the bed. And the bed is tight against the wall so one person has to climb over the other when getting out. Not a good room for elderly (especially if they get up a lot in the middle of the night).
