Town: The village of Malham is an ideal base for visitors to the Dales who come to see one of Britain's most impressive natural features - Malham Cove. The Cove consists of a natural cavern or 'amphitheatre' of limestone rock stretching 75 metres in height and 300 metres around the perimeter. A steep walk up man-made steps is rewarded with a superb view across moors and limestone pavements to Malham Tarn - the Pennines' highest natural lake. The village itself has pubs and tearooms and a National Park Centre.

Large cottage, perfect location
Plenty of space - the lounge and bedrooms are huge. Facilities are perfect - the log burner was a godsend, and everything is well fitted out. Location is great as well - just across the road (and river!) from a pub and a coffee shop, and the Pennine Way goes right in front of the house. Great for walks in the area. Really makes one smug when seeing everyone else desperately trying to find parking just outside the village.

Superb cottage in the heart of Malham
This really was an excellent place to stay - a beautiful old cottage, just the other side of a pretty little river from the centre of Malham. Excellent pubs within falling distance and all the best walks in Malhamdale from your doorstep. The owners could not have been more helpful or pleasant.
