We're classical musicians. Marty has enjoyed a long and successful career playing the french horn and has been in numerous famous groups, including the Canadian Brass, the Empire Brass Quintet, and played principal horn in the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC before moving to Kansas City. He is now teaching french horn full time at the UMKC Conservatory. Kelly is a pianist and organist and has played in numerous chamber music groups and has played keyboards for several orchestras, as well. In Kansas City, she teaches an online course for UMKC Conservatory and plays piano and organ at two churches, and is director of choirs at one of them. She also accompanies all of Marty's horn students on their recitals.

We are enjoying raising two mini golden doodles who turned six years old this summer. They are our official welcoming committee for our guests. No worries, they are contained with a fence between them and your parking place. We love dogs and cats! We are true foodies and love to cook and try new things. We love traveling, (especially to warm destinations) but we also love our home. We love being able to share our carriage house, which we designed and decorated, with our VRBO guests!
