These converted railway carriages are so cute and unique. Everything we needed including heaters that made it toasty in no time. Lovely to walk around the land and feeding Ruby the donkey and Gordon the pig was a highlight. Highly recommended for a unique and quirky awesome stay.
We stayed at Te Rakau cabins one night during a long weekend in Wairarapa. Denise and Dougal have a lovely spot and have clearly out a lot of time and effort into setting up the accommodation. The communication with them was great and they were very hospital making sure we had everything we needed. Recommend a stay here if you’re doing the Remutaka trail or looking to explore the south coast.
