Lovely house, Lovely view, Lovely area
Our family of five (two adults, three teenagers) really enjoyed our stay in Akaroa. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. It was glorious to sit on the deck and look at the harbour. Beautiful. The house is a short stroll from town and it is very easy to walk to see many of the attractions. Very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Lovely comfortable home, clean and warm
We loved staying in Akaroa and walked everywhere to and from the house. The hill was challenging with us being older, but doable. The regular cruise ships in the harbour were a lovely surprise.

Peaceful and well-equipped home close to waterfront and shops.
The house is located up a short steep street from the main road, and we enjoyed sitting at the table on the front deck admiring the amazing view and soaking up the peace. Inside it’s more spacious than it looks from the outside with a big lounge and kitchen/diner with lots of access to the wraparound deck. We entertained 7 friends for lunch and a BBQ dinner on the Saturday and were impressed with the well equipped kitchen. We found the bed in the master bedroom a bit bouncy for a restful sleep, and the deck could do with some attention as raised nailheads made walking on it barefoot uncomfortable. Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay and felt it would be a great (and reasonably priced) place for two couples or two small families sharing.
