Nice place, nice location
We enjoyed our stay at starry nights. It was great to find a home where all 16 of us could stay in one place. Comfortable rooms and beautiful gardens. Kitchen is rather small for the amount of people and broken outdoor furniture could do with updating, but overall a lovely stay. Thank you!

Classic NZ stay in beautiful surroundings.
The house and cabins allowed my family of 15 to enjoy time together but also have their own space. The garden is beautiful with spaces to relax and play games. The owner is lovely and communication easy.

I am a retired Art teacher and have also shared the responsibility of several businesses with my husband. We have 5 adult children and many mokopuna who enjoy Starry Nights occasionally. I have a passion for my garden and love this area. Waikino village has an active community spirit, is quiet and scenic and handy to lots of outdoor activities. The cabins are cosy and unique three of which have their own decks but share the toilet and shower. I love meeting fellow travellers and sharing this paradise with you all.

What makes this property unique

Cycle the gorge and carry on to Waihi, Paeroa, Te Aroha and Thames. Tramp the local tracks through the beautiful bush and alongside rivers. Learn about NZ's gold mining history in Waihi, Waikino and the surrounding area. Lots to do and repeat doing.
